If I had an intelligence score of 14 (+2) and decide to improve it, do I get skill points BEFORE applying the change [4 + 1 (human) + 2 (intelligence)] or AFTER applying the change [4 + 1 (human) + 3 (intelligence)]? Thanks in advance. |

Skills are the 6th thing that you determine, while class features are the 9th, so it seems that you would not gain the benefit of the INT bonus in time to get an extra skill point for that level. |

The +2 to stat is from a class feature, not from an innate level up. given that it's a difference of 1 skill point, I'd say it's splitting hairs either way, but by the RAW, your class feature of +2 to any ability score comes after you get your class skills. |
