An odd bit of truenaming flavor.. [Archive] - Wizards Community

So I've got an upcoming Planescape game of sorts, and a fantastic idea of what to play. I've liked the truenaming system since I saw it in Tome of Magic and, well, Illumian just seems to fit so very well with it. The problem, as I see it, is the odd progression of truenaming skill check DCs to the typical bonuses available to the truenamer. To aid that, and hopefully benefit from some of the synergy below, I intend to build a gish. Only with a decent bit of the truenaming mojo.

Goals: To be an effective combatant with a wide range of spells and/or abilities provided by both spellcasting and truenaming. Ideally this means a decent attack bonus and a good selection of fair leveled spells. (I'm thinking anywhere from 5th to 6th level before level 18. I don't know how long this is going to potentially run, so the earlier I can get access to that spellcasting love, the happier I'd be.)
Things I'd Like to Work In: Abjurant Champion, potentially some Argent Savant. I plan on using Bulwark of Reality as my primary armor (ToM force spell, +6 armor bonus which could really benefit from both classes). [edit: Feh. I realize now that Bulwark is conjuration. Is there any way to change it's school outside of the DM intervention? I seem to recall, though my memory may be faulty, some rare few class features that can do similar things.]

Honestly, builds have been tumbling around in my brain for the last two days but nothing has solidified. I'm fairly confident that I'd like to pick up the three levels of Human Paragon for the .75 BAB, 2/3 spellcasting, extra feat and extra class skill (which would inevitably be Truespeak). I have been considering using portions of the Tome of Battle as well (as Swordsage would add to my already impressive armor class when spelled and provide the martial weapon proficiencies necessary for Abjurant Champion, and Jade Phoenix Mage is a full BAB 4/5ths spellcasting class. The flavor's not quite right, but that's just fluff that can be taken care of beforehand.) But I fear that would stretch the capabilities of the character too thinly leaving him okay at everything, but good for nothing.

So I've come to the folks who know this material better than the folks who designed it (It seems. Often.). In a word, help?
