(For those of you that don't know, Soulmelds apply all day) Consider Fast Healing (Granted by MoMf, Warshaper, etc...) It is an effect. |
| Lilt02-18-06, 06:55 AM | Possibly, but there's another way to look at it. The Augment Healing feat adds to the healing done by spells, but when cast on a fast-healing like effect it only applies the healing in the first round, not the subsequent rounds. IE: You get the extra healing when you become subject to the effect, but in the subsequent rounds you're merely remaining subject to the effect which may not grant the HP boost. I'm not saying that's definately how it works, just pointing-out some alternate interpretations. |
| Ulthir02-18-06, 08:26 AM | Cyberpunks, I think you're wrong. It gives you [Spell Level + 2*Essentia] addicional healing points, but the essentia paragraph says that you only increase the 'addicional healing'. Since Fast Healing (or Regeneration) doesn't have a spell level, you don't get the addicional healing, and then no bonus to the addicional healing. |

| Ulthir02-18-06, 09:09 AM | Vigor doesn't heal hit points (If I understand what you meant). |
| colm_l02-18-06, 09:41 AM | Vigor doesn't heal hit points (If I understand what you meant). I mean the druid spell that gives you a low level of Fast healing & has the conjuration (healing) type not the psi power |
| Ulthir02-18-06, 09:47 AM | So It works (actually my problem with the Vigor spell name is in the translation from english to my language; Vigor is how we call Bear's Endurance here :D ). |
| Lilt02-18-06, 12:17 PM | I mean the druid spell that gives you a low level of Fast healing & has the conjuration (healing) type not the psi powerAs I said before, the standard way to apply healing increases to spells like vigor is to apply them in the first round. Otherwise Augment Healing turns Vigor from Fast Healing 2 to Fast Healing 8. |
| Ulthir02-18-06, 12:44 PM | Lilt, yes, you're right. You must aply it in the first round, but not because it's the 'standard way to apply healing increases'. The therapeutic mantle only increases when you're a target of such spell (= when they cast it on you), not while you're being affected by it. I can't check the complete divide right now, but it prolly says something like that. |
| Ulthir02-18-06, 12:52 PM | Also, I can't check the Vigor spell right now, but I think the spell doesn't heal hit points. It gives you the Fast Healing 2 quality. The quality heals your hit points, not the spell. I'm being very literal. |
| colm_l02-18-06, 02:30 PM | There's always the armour of the masochist or something similar |
