The group i DM has just hit ECL23 (all of them, i like to keep XP equal). We started at 12th. There going to be fighting tiamat at somepoint, its there overall quest. Anyway not that they are all hitting epic levels it seems like a good idea to have them fight a boss ofsorts. And i just saw the blue spawn of tiamat in the MM4 excerpt and am more then impressed. It even has intent other than us wanting to kill its master (each member of the party is a half dragon,hence hitting epic levels at ECL23). our party are a: a)half fang dragon human scout4/ranger2/stalker of kharash2/ranger3-6/highland stalker8 b)half gold dragon dwarf paladin5/fighter4/divinecrusader1/windwalker10 c)half shadow dragon elf duskblade20 d)half silver dragon dwarf cleric20 (persistant metamagic abuser) e)half silver dragon changeling wizard8/recaster5/initiate of the sevenfold veil7. On a side note b & d share a dwarf parent whilst d & e share there silver dragon parent (nicebit of RP lol) Anyway, what i was considering was: half celestial bluespawn godslayer monster of legend ranger6/hexblade3 (CR23) HD=12D10+6D8+3D10 HP=average 514 Abilities: str=12+34+6=52 dex=16+4+6=26 con=14+28+6=48 int=12+2+6=20 wis=10+6+6=22 cha=18+6+6+5(inherit item)+5(levels)=40 BaB=20 Saves=fort+41,ref+31,will+24 (vs.spells fort+56,ref+46,will+39) Feats= Power Attack,TWF,ITWF,OTWF,GTWF, powerlunge,leap attack,shocktrooper, improved bullrush,favoured PA AC=49(10+20natural+8dex+8 bracers of armour+5ring of protection-2size) SQ=immune to polymorph,electricity, paralysis, sleep & acid. regrow limbs. DR10 chaotic SA=5th level cleric spells,favoured enemy dragons+4/outsiders+2 Items= 2*valourus dragonbane +2 bastard swords, bracers of armour+8, ring of protect+5, belt of magnificence+6, tome of cha+5, cloak of resistance+6, slotless item of psionic lions charge. The plan is to charge and takeout the wizard in the first round. After that purely going to slash my way through everyone else (im not after a TPK). i ultimately intend him to escape through flying away and have him come backlater as rank 0 deity of evil blue dragons. Is that a decent NPC to give my epic going prcs agood smack about?Imhoping it'llmakethem realise that its going to get harder.
