I'm just curious as to how effective it would be. Forest Gnome Wizard 1 - Mounted Combat, X, X (assuming 2 flaws) Totemist 1 Totemist 2 - Incarnum Spellshaping Wizard 2 Wizard 3 Soulcaster 1 - Wild Cohort Soulcaster 2 Silverwood Arcanist 1 Silverwood Arcanist 2 - X Silverwood Arcanist 3 Silverwood Arcanist 4 Silverwood Arcanist 5 - Share Soulmeld Soulcaster 3 Soulcaster 4 Soulcaster 5 - X Soulcaster 6 Soulcaster 7 Soulcaster 8 - Double Chakra (Totem) Soulcaster 9 Soulcaster 10 X= *metamagic feat*, Soultouched Spellcasting, Midnight Metamagic, or Arcane Disciple (Incarnum) Leopard Companion: 14 HD (119 HP), 20 Str, 23 Dex, 18 Con, +15 Grapple; Power Attack, Multiattack, Powerful Charge, Improved Initiative, Weapon Focus (Bite) Essentia: 10-12, Soulmelds: 6, Chakra Binds: 3; Girallion Arms (Totem), Heart of Fire (Totem, bound), Totem Avatar (Arms, Bound), Worg Pelt (Hands), Ankheg Breastplate (Throat), Dread Carapace (Feet, Bound) Thats the gist of it. Basically, though buffs and such my Leopard companon becomes an expert grappler, after which I get to touch whomever he's grappling with a good disabling spell like Ghoul Touch (no AoO since he's grappled), leaving him open to be burned up by my Leopard. I'll be casting my Incarnum-Enhanced spells early, especially Incarnum Apothesis if I decide to take the applicable feat (to max-out my Leopard early, and then put Essentia where they'll do the most good later when they're freed from my spells). Something tells me I should do more reading on those old WotC website articles. |

As you can cast personal spells on your wild cohort, buffing it up can turn it into one nasty combatant! Draconic polymorph, Tenser's transformation, Wraithstrike, there are many great spells for this! Something tells me I should do more reading on those old WotC website articles. I've been thinking the same. I remember that there was a great rogue-like PrC that let you deal negative levels with sneak attacks, but I can't seem to find it anymore... EDIT: You might also consider starting with Totemist for skill points and hit points. |

However, considering the possibility that I'll be grabbing some spells requiring spellcasting with flaws, that may or may not be an option. I could probably shuffle around the feats. |
