Ok, unique challenge... I am going to be playing an astral deva in an upcoming game. the game is a huge dungeon containing within it every creature from the SRD. (i think you can guess the modual) needless to say we are going to be underground a great deal of the time....

so with very limited feats, and only some skills, does anyone have suggestions on how to use the limited resources given to make a powerful character that would be a boon to have along?

I had thought about possibly going for a tactical feat like winged combatent from races of the wild, or mabey a weapon style feat if i could find one, but even just a few decent ideas would be helpful... i am kinda strapped for ideas here.

I am going to be functioning mostly as the party rogue and scout, so my baseline idea is dodge, mobility spring attack to take advantage of the move speed and be a skirmish character. Can anyone do better than that?

What lv is this campaign starting at? Also, if you are using the SS progression of the deva as found in SS, be warned that the progression has some errors to start with, so you might want to rectify that first.

Astral deva is mostly a melee combatant, so I suppose it's best played that way. Stand up to the fight and make constant use of the full attack option as often as you can, rather than hit and run.
Your first problem is a noticeable lack of any armour proficiency, so your best bet is armour with no armour check penalty, unless you are willing to burn precious feat slots acquiring armour proficiency.. This limits you largely to leather armour at the beginning, then quickly upgrade to masterwork studded leather and finally a mithril shirt as soon as resources allow.(not sure how readily available eq is in your module, so try and work something out with your dm).

I suppose with access to move silently/hide/spot/listen as class skills, you might make for a decent scout. Though my gripe is that you will lack ranks in search and disable device. So you might end up tripping the very traps you are trying to avoid or detect.

I am not sure how useful your SLAs will be, though a casual reminder to aid all your party members prior to each battle when it becomes useable at will. I wonder if it will be possible to try and maximise the use of your stunning ability, but it seems viable only at higher lvs, unless you dual wield.

These are just some basic pointers. I am sure others will have better tips.

as far as maximizing the stunning ability, the other feat progression i had worked out in my head was to go for lightning mace weapon style. With a flaw you can grab the style at 7th level... extra attacks mean evem more chances to land the requisit two to trigger the stun, and with improved critcal coming later you could get more than a few attacks. Its another way to go, but it makes you dependant on a light mace as a weapon, which is why i had discarded the idea since being flexible on what weapons i weild is a nice ability.

the other ability i had thought about playing was the lesser globe of invunerability, to go for things like mageslayer and get up in a mages face to negate their ability to cast spells, but those are pretty specilized feats and not quite as versital as spring attack. My only issue with spring attack is that i won't be able to trigger stun with it, so its hard to decide whats the best optimization to go with. hence asking for help....

my only other idea at the moment was to dig into anger of angels and try and grab feats there, but those can get cheap real fast if you arn't careful to avoid the chedder

Ok, you still didn't say, Is it only feats your choosing or any character levels aswell? Do you have typical wealth for an ECL20? Do you use stats as the base creature or add mods to rolled stats/point buy?
Whats the rest of the party made up of?

You have a decent wisdom and your not proficient with armour anyway so you could consider a monks belt for wis>AC.

If you can take levels, EWM1 and a warmace would be great for melee as you can use your stun and add 2*str mod to damage with it.
