Aeden Stark 10-20-04, 01:51 PM	Say I started with the 28pt and had: Human race Str 14 Dex 12 Con 12 Int 12 Wis 14 Chr 12 This is still Eberron and I go cleric with the no deity rule. I choose War for the free weapon focus greatsword because I love the look of it. As to the second domain, I leave it to you to help me decide. For my two starting feats I pick aberrant dragonmark{dm lets me use it as my divine focus} and the other I would like help in picking. I decide I want this guy to have a myriad of abilities{kindof hard for anyone to pin down what he really is other than he can easliy adapt to his enemies and is a power to be feared} but mostly I want him to be truly offense oriented with casting being an added benefit. I really like controlling things{like undead and such} But I don't want him pigeonholed{ oh your a necromancer}. I was thinking of taking three levels of cleric then switching, then picking up a prestige class then going back cleric{picking up practiced spellcaster for the +4 boost}. This is just an idea I am tossing around and would love and appreciate any input. Aeden Stark Cleric/?

UMiskatonic 10-20-04, 04:16 PM	Try mindbender from Tome and Blood for controlling things. Let me ask you this.... What's this guy bad at? Because if he's good at everything, then why wouldn't everyone play that character? I'm a bit unclear on offense oriented. I've seen sneak attacking shadowlords, frenzied berserkers, and elemental savant sorcerors all focus on offense, in different ways. Hey, I've even seen fiendish black puddings that attacked with no thought to defending themselves. Cheers, Umiskatonic
El_Machinae 10-20-04, 04:31 PM	If you want a series of useful talents, I'd suggest starting out as a Ranger, and then multi-classing into a cleric. Any chance that you'd want to move into a Fist of Raziel later on ...?
Aeden Stark 10-20-04, 04:54 PM	I'm thinking more melee oriented, implementing the greatsword and curses/debuff/pain inflicting type things. As to being bad at stuff, he wont be as good as a pure caster, not range oriented, more dark divine warrior type. Eventually I want to use my power to organize goblinoid and undead armies under my control...heheh..imagine darth vader as my influence. Aeden Stark Cleric/?

scrollreader 10-20-04, 07:22 PM	That's two bumps in fours hours. Chill, dude. People will post, if they've got something to post. If not, all the bumping in the world won't help it. The purpose of a bump is to bring something up from obscurity. When it's been off the main page for a day or two, and you still need help, or are soliticing a discussion on something. Not just to have your name at the top of the list. That being said ... Ask your Dm about the prestige pally, and making it into a prestige blackguard. That seems up your alley.
Aeden Stark 10-20-04, 07:34 PM	hmmm...blackguard....never actually thought about that...only thing I hate about it is how extreme it is. As in, there are no conflicted blackguards...you are either all evil or dead. I still like the anti-hero walking the narrow path between good and evil idea.
