Myzery78 09-29-06, 10:55 PM	After Seeing the 3.5 Raziel D&D character I was interested in playing it but considered possible ways to improve on it. I was considering finding a low LA abberation with claws to mix in rapidstrike/improved rapidstrike. http://boards1.wizards.com/showpost.php?p=7774872&postcount=211 I was unable to find anything with a LA as low as the Feral Template that provides nearly as much benefit for the cost. Pounce, Fast Healing 5, and Darkvision 120ft are hard to beat. I considered going elan and taking willing deformity, and deformity(claws) allowing both souleater and rapidstrike. Theoretically this could result in 4 Mindblade attacks per round and 5 claws for a total of 18 negative levels. What other options are available for getting Necrotic Focus on a Mindblade? I am not very familiar with Mindblades so options with regards to that Im unsure of. Also Im unaware of what Incarnum Blade does so Im unsure what those levels provide. In the end Im not sure if its worth trading Fast Healing 5, Darkvision 120, and Pounce for the 8 extra negative levels(though I could certainly see it being better) but does anyone have a good suggestion for a 0-1 LA race or template that could provide claws and possibly make up for the loss of the Feral abilities while still allowing access to rapidstrike?

Actually, I made Raziel as a fair balance between accurate representation of abilities and power, which is why he isn't getting obsene amounts of negative levels a round.(Can't quite tell if you taking a knock at me or not. :P) Getting Necrotic Focus on a MindBlade isn't that hard. There's a item called "Mind Blade Gauntlet" or something in Races of Eberron? It allows you to put a weapon enchantment on your mind blade, but I can't remember the specific details exactly. If you just like the idea of Soul Eater + Rapidstrike, I ended up using that combo in Xxyxx's in my Triad of Shadows thread(link in my .sig). Hope that helps. Edit: For the Incarnum Blade levels, they have a few benefits, all of which fall under the ability to give you different combat options that you can change if your prepared. Only really used to give Raziel some more flexability.
