| SolInvictus01-05-06, 09:45 AM | If the title wasn't explanatory enough, I'm trying to optimize a you-know-what. Here's what I've got so far: Evolved(+1) Gravetouched Ghoul(+2) Thri-kreen(+2) Fighter 6/Monk 2/????? Feats: Combat Expertise, Improved Trip, Dodge, Ability Focus, Improved Paralysis, Defensive Throw, Karmic Strike The strategy is simple enough. Wear an antimagic torc, activate it when going into battle. Move towards opponent, provoke an AoO, get your own AoO against him and use it for a paralyzing natural attack. At the start of your turn, coup de grace him. The downside is the immense feat dependency, and enemies immune to paralysis or coup de grace. Any suggestions on how to round out this character with abilities that'll function in an anti-magic field? edit: 3.5 published D&D books only, which means no 3.0 and no Dragon. |

The template is 'gravetouched ghoul', from Libris Mortis, it's completely separate from the standard ghoul, and it's +2 LA. Turn undead is a (su) ability, which isn't a problem with this build. Would it be legal to take dervish with this build, assuming I can find space? While the stat blocks do not explicitly state it, I'd assume that thri-kreen ghoul claws do slashing damage. |
