Any +1RA races that are large? [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-09-06, 06:25 PM Do you mean LA? Half-Ogre from Savage Species is listed as +1. Races of Destiny however has it updated as a +2 LA.

11-09-06, 08:11 PM Also in Savage Species has some anthropomorphic animals (like the famous Baleen Whale) with +0 or +1 LA, but with 3 racial hit dice. Also the Maug with the Incarnate Construct template has 2 HD, +1 LA

Right, for those specific feats, that's right, however, despite being able to wield large weapons and getting a few bonuses on bull-rushes and such, Goliath's are still medium.

That is, until you take the Goliath Barbarian RSL, then you actually become large when you rage.

Bottom line:

Be a human and get enlarge person cast on you (+0 LA)

It's in an old issue of Dragon. I'm afraid I don't know the issue number; my knowledge of Dragon runs from issue 1 up through about 150. :)

11-10-06, 12:54 PM A goliath with the first barbarian racial substitution level becomes Large when he/she rages. This gives the added benefit of being able to "turn off" the Warhulk drawback of not being able to use alot of skills.

11-12-06, 02:59 PM yes but being large temporialy does not meet the prerequisite for the war hulk class. other wise any one with access to enlarge person could qualify.
