| peeffan05-08-06, 06:21 PM | Here is my current build for a melee fighter I just made. I only have the psionics, core, and ebberon books so I'm a little limited on feat selection. Any advice you can give me for this would be great. Thanks in advance. | Animefunkmaster05-08-06, 07:57 PM | Well, if it is allowed, Complete Warrior/Miniatures handbook has some neat feats for some AoO (I noticed combat reflexes): Hold the line (Each time an opponent charges into a square you threaten you get an AoO) Karmic Strike (Pre req dodge/combat expertise: take a -4 to ac, when someone hits you in melee you get an AoO) I don’t have the miniatures handbook on hand: SideStep: you get to make a 5 foot step after an AoO If your going high damage output (With your “high jump” ability) Power Attack Battle Jump/leap (I forgot the names, they double power attack damage on a charge, makes a must jump during the charge) Also check out Combat Brute (Sundering cleave is nice and momentum swing) and Shock Trooper (Headless charge) in Complete Warrior… they do more power attack damage, and you take a penalty on your AC not the to hit for power attack… the pre reqs are a little high. I would not take cleave, greater cleave… the weapon enhancement mighty cleaving is a good substitute, unless you had your heart set on other enhancements. I would ditch weapon focus, weapon specialization, and narrow mind. I have mixed feelings about speed of thought. Possibly quicken power, might be useful. This is my quick take on it. PS: if you can take weapon enhancements from Arms and Equipment, take sweeping (+1), it grants a +4 to trip attempts. Also, if you use expansion 2, you will have +8 more to trip, and some things can’t trip you back. |
| Thanatos4205-08-06, 08:30 PM | Be careful optimizing a PrC of your own making. If you make a very powerful character through optimization, it will seem like your PrC is simply unbalanced. A spiked chain seems like an odd weapon choice. Why not a lance or a glaive? Especially with your Impale ability. |

Essentially +4 attack and 4d6 extra damage. |
