Okies, I'm about to join an new eberron campaign and the party could really use a thief. I don't want to go the route of the melee thief so I've been tossing around the idea of either a mage / thief or a psion / thief.

So far I'm considering a Kalashtar Rogue 5 / Psion 5 (kineticist)/ Elocator 10. I want my main stats to be in Dex, Int and Cha so I can serve as the party skill monkey / face. The proposed build should allow me to keep my rogue skills up while providing me with some offensive punch and allowing me to maintain a respectable bluff, diplomacy and/or intimidate.

As the search option is down and I'm pretty sure I'm not the first person to come up with an idea like this, anyone have any helpful suggestions or links for me?

Stats are 17, 16, 16, 14, 13, 12 usable in any order. My choices for race, class, Prcs and Feats are limited to PHB, DMG, XPH, CF and CD. Thanks!

I assume by CF you mean CW.

Have you considered the psychic rogue as opposed to Psion? You don't get as many powers or power points, but you end up with a much, much higher manifester level and skill point total - awesome for augmentation purposes.

Doh, yes I meant CW. I don't like the power list of Psionic Rogue. I considered it for a while but it didn't work. Plus they top out at level 6 powers which I'd have going the route I planned anyways.

IF you are going for bluff, diplomacy etc, shouldn't you pick a telepath?

I suggest psion(telepath) 6/elocator 4/psion telepath4/elocator 6

Amazing party face, worse skill monkey, but if you take expanded knowledge metamorphosis you can solve most of this problem, stronger in fights, much stronger

Umm...are you aware of the Psionic Rogue core class at the Mind's Eye? Just use that. It's good. And at level 11 you get a nifty ability to do INT damage...

I don't like the powers associated with the psionic rogue. I want to go for something with a little more punch and a set of more diverse powers.

Use Psionic Device or Use Magic Device?

Use Magic Device. Psion class will allow me to use most of the psionic items out there.

Use Magic Device. Psion class will allow me to use most of the psionic items out there.I meant UPD for the Psionic Rogue since you said you were disenchanted with the power list.
