PsychicStrider 08-09-05, 12:02 PM	I've played a campaign about an expedition to some hell-like world, which consists of demons, devils (no brood war), aberrations, undeads, etc. I guess the rest encounters will be with some unique demon or devil leaders, an elder brain, and an epic-level lich. In this campaign I've played Human Cleric 3/Church Inquisitor 6/Fist of Raziel 7/Contemplative 1 as a melee cleric with divine matamagic - persistent and a bunch of extra turning feats. My DM even allowed an extra turning feat as a bonus for setting character habit, so my character have total 4 extra turning feats and turn undead 21/day, which grants 3 persistent spells. :) Now, I've just got enough XP to level-up (I'll get 8th level of the Fist of Raziel) to access 9lv spells, and shapechange is one of my domain spells. I have a plan to use combination of persistent shapechange to get some nice su abilities and persistent miracle to duplicate draconic polymorph or polymorph any object to get ex and physical ability, but right now I don't have nice idea. Additionally, DM allowed each PC to get new equipments totally worth 500,000gp, before almost final encounter... I'm gonna buy tome of understanding and adamantine glaive, and I've not determined where to spend the rest yet. DM allowed all WotC meterials but forbade to use customized items. To sum up I need recommendations of creatures to use persistent shapechange and polymorph, and nice Magic Items... Any ideas?
Khazra Reborn 08-09-05, 12:51 PM	Hmmmm, id suggest trying a miracle to have your type changed to an oustider by your god. Theres some really beastly outsider forms out there. A nice form would then be titan for huge stats & NA. The DR/lawful is also nice. But the big daddy of pre-epic forms is solar. It has epic DR, regeneration, SR, immunities, resistances & 150ft fly speed. There are soe better forms in FF & MM"/3 i think, but there mainly veil & your a fist of raziel (exalted), do the math. Isn't there a sell in BoED which lets you shapechange into the celestial paragons such as raziel? or is it epic?

Encard 08-09-05, 10:57 PM	Definitely get a bunch of nightsticks - they're great with Divine Metamagic (Persistant Spell). As for forms... An important question: are you using the Shapechange errata (cap = HD) or not (cap = 2xHD)? EDIT: Oh, take a look here (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=226959). It's a list of (Su) abilities from a lot of different creatures. Shapechange lasts and hour per day. Making it Persistant is just about the most useless thing you could do. Extend spell would make it last signifigantly longer. Shapechange is 10 min/level. That's 200 minutes (3.3 hours) at level 20 standard, 400 minutes (6.6 hours) extended, and 24 hours persistent. Of course, since I doubt this player has Divine Metamagic (Extend Spell), it's not really relevent...
