With the Elaborate Parry special ability of the Dervish Class and Greater Two Weapon Defense, when fighting defensively (-4 to attack/+2 AC) you can get a +6 shield +2 Dodge +1 Tumble Synergy +4 Elaborate Parry for a total bonus of +14 to AC. For offensive oomph, use wounding weapons to take advantage of your Dervish's battlefield longevity and simply Con drain the party PCs down to nothing. Multiclassing Swashbuckler and Ranger can also give you the ability to add Int bonus to weapon damage rolls and grants Finesse and TWF to satisfy feat requirements and take advantage of a high Dex. |
| Ipsissimus06-13-04, 09:14 PM | remember to cast enlarge person the dervish and stoneskin. |

| Zubon06-13-04, 09:51 PM | Search this forum for some exciting Dervish builds that have been designed. There have been quite a few. The last time I messed around with a Dervish, I equipped it with a Kusari-Gama (from the DMG) and the Fighter-variant "Exoticist" from Dragon Magazine. http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=205698 Most of the ways of breaking the world with Dervish were developed quickly then set aside as passé. I think people disapproved of the dual scimitar thing. |

Dervish enables you to do that (slashing blades ability) but at lvl 5 you're not a Dervish yet. 2. Two speed weapons are redundant. This ability does not stack so the badass is just fine with one speed weapon - and possibly other enhancement(s) in place of the speed property on one of the blades. |

Remember dervish makes scimitar's light. It does NOT give you weapon finesse. Weapon finesse applies to all light weapons in 3.5, you don't pick one, thus you are preparing for when you get dervish 1 next level. 2. The only official thing I've seen is a set of longswords, both with the speed ability, meant to be used by a single character (the speed ability is only available when they are). This was in PGtF (pg. 126; Shattering Swords of Coronal Ynloeth), which is 3.5. Double speed weapons give you an extra attack at the highest base attack with each hand. Neither of which gets doubled by Thousand cuts. Saethar :b: |
