| Dench03-17-06, 06:28 PM | I'm about to play a Bard (around 3 - 5 level, my DM has not decided yet) , it is going to focus in spellcasting and ranged attacks, any idea of any race that suits this or any good Bard/any other class good combo??? Most of the PC's in my party are Fighter Power, and I tend to be the only caster :D I can use almost any book, except Magic of Incarnium, Spell Compendium and Tome of Magic... and most of Forgotten Realms books (I only have Races of Faerun) For more reference I'm intending that my bard be a support character for the other "Meat Walls" and focusing in ranged attacks as well. Oh, yeah... the Party is CN. |

Check out the stickies at the top of the forum... "The Optimization Library." The thread titled "Some Handy Links for CO Work." Check all that out, and then come back here and post a build with race, ability scores, and feat choices. Then ask for suggestions and critiques and I'm sure people will come out of the woodwork to help you. :) |

If u dont have any rouges in the party, u might want to pick up levels in rouge, so u get the trapfinding feat, and thus be able to find traps above dc 20, and be able to disable them. get yourself some wands or such, and u increase your spellpower. humans get extra feat at lvl 1, and that gives u more options to start with, and +1 skill points, to use for the perform skill. if u got a lot of meatshields, u should be able to buff them with more than your song, like bulls strength and such. But i never played bard myself, so what do i know  |
