lgw 12-20-04, 10:39 AM	i found the 3e class thief acrobat from songs and silence rather intresting, and with the christmas goody pre-relaese from the complete adventurer, im now trying to set it in 3.5e (please look it up yourself from the complete adventurer preview, as the redirect screews the link :-( ). the idea is to form a rouge like character with the following features: - usual rouge stuff like hide/move silent, disable device etc - battle field control with the spiked chain and now the goodies: - doing artistic stuff quite anywhere, thanks to thief acrobat - using umd for combatbuffing - taking on this all-too-big-to-trip foes with the giant bane tactical feat from complete warrior - nerfing any casters with mage slayer from miniatuers handbook so you already see - it's also an really important question of style playing this buddy. atm i plan getting 8 lvl rouge (unearthed arcana variant with feats for sneak attack dice) and 4 lvl thief acrobat. but this is not finally set. the things i'd like to see in this build are: - improved evasion - improved uncanny dodge - mettle and perhaps slippery mind - maybe even one free chosen skill mastery for sure disable device etc - improved trip of course, and almost also for sure improved disarm - some lvls from one or two classes with good fortitude and will, or perhaps something like grace or arcane resistance classes i also considered worthy so far are exotic waepon master and the hexblade. babarians etc are a litte problem, as the class as the rage doenst really fit the style and hinder skills like tumble etc. and the last question and biggest problem is wether taking waepon finesse and going dex, or leave dex around a natural 14-16 and pushing more str for better tripping. so what is your suggenstion on getting the stuff above and not taking 7 1-lvl dips, for which my dm will kill me ? you can consider a 32 point buy and any books allowed (but please provide the full name in doubt, i'm not that fit in abbrevations.) and, until better suggestions, a human character from faerun. thanks in advance :-)
lgw 12-21-04, 07:21 PM	:bump: noone any suggestions ? :surrender btw: what do you think of skipping the mettle-will-fort-race und just taking spellfire wilder at 1st lvl ? tactics would be to tumble towards to mage, dishing out with aos all the way, and ass soon as standing front-to-front with any mage, he's going to be meat anyways... :fight!:
