Any Warlock/Enlightened Fist builds yet? [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-13-04, 03:36 PM So does anybody have any yet? I like the idea of monk abilities with those nice invocations (constant flight, blindsight, etc.) but I haven't been able to come up with much yet.

11-13-04, 04:11 PM I havent seen CA yet, but is the Warlock class actually considered spellcaster class for the purpose of all these PrCs? I doubt it since they use spell-like abilities, not spells. It sounds more like the Soulknife, absolutely worthless to multiclass with

11-13-04, 04:33 PM Warlocks don't qualify for all casting classes, but there are prestige classes CA (such as the enlightened fist) that require an arcane caster level, which warlocks have.

11-13-04, 04:39 PM Right, but what's the Enlightened Fist's progression? Do they gain additional caster levels (bad for Warlock, if I understand right) or can they gain levels as an invoker as well?

And again, does the Warlock actually cast spells? It sounds like it doesn't.

11-13-04, 05:34 PM The Enlightened Fist has 8 out of 10 spellcasting progression, but spellcasting progression gives warlocks better Eldritch Blast and Invocations.

And Warlocks don't cast spells, they have spell-like abilities.

11-13-04, 07:20 PM Aside from getting a monk-like progression for speed and damage dice (notice flurry doesn't advance), I can't see a real reason to bother with Enlightened Fist. Almost all of the special abilities require you to expend spell slots (which the Warlock certainly doesn't have).
