| Pallin Rahl05-10-06, 01:13 PM | Odd/silly question... is there any official feat or PrC or whatever that would allow ones Spell-Like Ability to do Holy Damage either instead of its normal damage-type or in addition to its normal damage type? ...just had an odd character concept idea regarding a Warlock's blast :p ...moreso just curious ;) |
| Crusher Nate05-10-06, 01:51 PM | There's Sanctify Spell-like Ability, or something to that effect, in the Book of Exalted Deeds. It's a feat that'll make one spell-like attack holy, and it's useable 3 times a day. There's also the Sanctified template, in the same book. It's an aquired template, LA +2, I think (?). Basically, it takes a creature whose powers derive from evil sources and replaces those powers with new, "cleaner" ones. One of those powers is a holy ray attack that's very similar to the Eldritch Blast, except that it heals creatures of good alignment. Since a Warlock is generally inclined to pick feats and gear his equipment toward improving his EB, this template seems like a natural fit. Your DM might even rule that your blast shape incantations continue to function with that new positive energy ray; it's a ruling that makes perfect sense to me, since you'd really just be using the same skills you've already developed with a different but similar attack. |
