| OokamiKiba01-27-07, 04:40 PM | It was over the summer, yes I know that over the summer I had been doind a lot of CO, that I was challenged to fight a friend of mine...in D&D not in real life. Anyway, we decided that we would be level 25. I knew that he was going to use some form of Fatespinner from Tomb and Blood, that version is so broken. I started with the idea of insane counterspelling, I don't really remember what it was but as I was reading through the Epic Level Handbook I read the Epic Leadership and Legendary Commander feats. I couldn't help but sniker when I thought about going with a level 25 Bard. My other friend (I have more then two), who happened to be DMing this fight, was helping me try to make a good character...we came up with the idea of using, as my cohort, a Rakshasa Ak'Chazar, I love those guys. So we then decided that our Rakshasa friend would then rebuke and command a bunch of high level Liches. These Liches would go out and do the same until we had a small army of the undead casters. Then a Lich would cast Genisis and create a plane, and we would repeat this process until we had a plane within a plane within a plane...repeat until 15 planes are made. Off my character went to buy about 250 Ioun Stones, all CHA +2, and then he went around saying "hello" to people he met and having them go to his plane. Now my favorite part of this build was the planes themselves. 15th Layer: This innermost layer had my personal quarters as well as "The Grand Scrying Room" and "The Most Awsome Library". The latter two rooms were staffed by Liches and Vampire spellcasters. The Library had in it Loremasters and Mystic Theurges making scrolls, mostly Vengeful Gaze of God, with the area maxed out (yes that is huge) and the damage pumped to full (again, yes that is a massive amount of damage) and they would have to pass the spellcraft checks themselves. Though it had not occured to me at the time they must have been using LordofProcrastination's nano-build. These scrolls were then sent to the Scring Room in which fifteen Lich and Vampire Sorcerers, Wizards and Clerics sat around waiting for my command. In the center of the Scrying Room was a giant orb with an eagle's eye in it. Those of you who have read War of the Spider Queen know the reference. Through it my casters could cast thier suped-up spells at anywhere they could scry to, and the Orb of Scrying had every divination enchantment on it you can think of. At one point during this battle I had my wizards blow up the entire Material Plane, except for the tiny little area around my castle. 14th Layer: This was just a null Magic Zone that was really meant as a buffer so that we had warning if someone tried to invade us. 13th Layer: This was the "Test Zone" every ten seconds in this plane there was a 75% chance that some Epic spell would be tested...in other words, not the safest place to be. 12th Layer: The Charnel Pits, full of mass grave perpetually vomiting bodies out of the earth, this was the assembly line for my undead warriors, off to a small side of this plane was the Town of Victims, a place where new humans and other creatures were brought to await turning by some kind of undead. 11th Layer: The Mines & Factories. The plane was full of mines being used contantly to draw adimantium, mithril and star-metal as well as clay and stone mostly, half of this plane was a factory for weapons, just next door to that was the new home of the Admiantium Horror. Behind that was the Golem Building, full of portals to various miserable infernal and ceseltial planes, this was the place for making both exotic and mundane golems. 10th Layer: This was the layer with the swirling nether-stuffs of the Outer Realms, meant to make our Tsochar visitors happy, as well as any other Outer beings that came by. 9th Layer: Layer of Elements, like a compass this plane was a nexus of elemental planes, ice between air and water, etcetera. 8th Layer: A layer of swampy murk, this layer was a place for all my aquatic allies, such as Aboliths, gotta love those Abberations. Also the prison layer, not that I kept any prisoners. I follow the sage advice of "kill them before they can have a chance to escape." 7th Layer: The Vaults, the location of my many treasures and artifacts. If it could be though up odds were you'd find it here, guarded by Golems and ancient undead. 6th Layer: Named Dis, this was the layer for visiting dignitaries, they would be wined and dined personally on this lavish plane of silks and satins. 5th Layer: Heavenly Pits, the layer where Angels and Devils and Demons would lounge around with other Outsiders, the peace was kept by the friendly 50,000 something year old undead. 4th Layer: Seige Layer, manufactory of all siege weapons, items used often by my less honorable mercenaries on thier frequent raids to the material plane. 3rd Layer: The Managery, a place of exotic beasts, many had the Monster of Legend template. Also on this plane was the Breeding Grounds, a place to try to breed stronger races and animals. 2nd Layer: Inns, a place for the weary mercenary to kick back. 1st Layer: Armies, a simple horde of armed and angry things just waiting for someone to be stupid enough to try to break in. Material Plane: A massive castle staffed by skeletons and zombies and oveerseen by Vampires and Wights along with Spectral Cretures. |

| Ocom01-27-07, 06:33 PM | I do. Most of the games where I DM take place on demiplanes. But my players don't know that :) The fact that you can't create a genesis inside another genesis does not mean that you can't make a layered world. Man would i LOVE to have my very own Phyrexia :D |
| Stickboy232301-27-07, 06:43 PM | Nice idea but here's just one problem I noticed. You can't stack the bonuses from your 250 ioun stones. But as a 25th level character you can probably afford to buy a bunch of items that do have stackable CHA bonuses. |

How would you even make eye contact?! |
