Im trying to build a good Warforged juggernaut for a campaign I am in. 32 point buy, using all WOTC splatbooks - including flaws from UA.

I'd like to focus my build on charging with a shield. Below is what I have so far. I know fighter 6 isnt too optimal, but its better than fighter 5, and you need +5 BAB for entry into Juggernaut.

Leadership is for a Artificer Cohort to follow me around and do touch ups. With a 4 Charisma I know its sub-optimal, but Im willing to bite the bullet on it.

Any advice would be yippie skippie yay.

Immunity to crits makes me always want to do one thing. Sack ac for massive bonuses to attack and damage. I know your charisma wont ever be making anything look highly of you, but...

fighter 4/bard 1/warchanter 6/warforged juggernaunt 5

Seriously, your charisma will bite and the bard level is only for the points in perform, bardic music and saves. I'm imagining it would end like...

fighter 4/bard 1/warchanter 6/warforged juggernaunt 5/tactical soldier 4

It leaves you with bab 17, saves that keep fort high as your willsave becomes obsolete by warforged 5, and the ability to sack your ac to the ground so hard, that it isnt even fun.

For stats I would suggest...
str 16 (10 points)
dex 14 (6 points)
con 18 (10 points, +2 race)
int 14 (6 points)
wis 4 (0 points, -2 flaw, -2 race)
cha 4 (0 points, -2 flaw, -2 race)

Granted, this might not be the most low level optimized concept, but juggernaunt should make you invincible from the points you suffer the most (willsave or the lack of it). Amount of feats is only 7 normal, 2 from flaws, 3 bonus and 1 (sidestep) from class levels, but that should be ample enough to maximise a shield specialist. You could also switch tactical soldier to EWM for abilities with bastard sword should you feel so inclined, but youre using shield so the best benefits of it would be waned and tactical soldier gives you handy bonuses otherwise too. If your DM is lunatic, you could always try to get past him might makes right, and gather a horde of heavy metal followers all praising you in choir and wrecking the enemies day with horrible singing.

...

Okay, this is all because I have in my mind the image of spiked adamantine heavy metal wannabe black construct that beats the rhytm with his shield to opponents and sings "Taivas lyö tulta" from Teräsbetoni.

Cmon, its a cool image! >.<

I recall that Warforged Juggernaut/Frenzied Berserker can leave a room with the aroma of cheese.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the Warforged Juggernaut goes perfectly with the Frenzied Berserker. Once you get deathless frenzy, you cannot be killed, only contained. If you are worried about the will save, there is a Savage Species feat that gives you +10 WILL once per day. Your armored body makes that 1 lvl of Barbarian a bit annoying, but well worth it. If you get to epic, there is an item that makes a Warforged a large creature. Bring on the War Hulk!
If you have an artificer following you around, what do you need a shield for? Get a two-handed weapon, +20STR and start swinging!

WFJ/FB is indeed "Das Uber" path generally suggested here, but it doesn't always mesh with a game or concept. Before deciding on a more Artificer-driven PC for the current campaign I was in I toyed around with something like:

Warforged Fighter 3/Fighter 2/WFJ 5/Warforged Artificer 1/Spellcarved Soldier x/Class(PrC) of Choice x

Aside from the non-progression of Arty/Arcane casting and the Silver Tracery prereq I am very enamored of the SS PrC (will be taking the first level of it with the aforementioned arty very soon), particularly the Runes of Extension and Archmage, you could go 2, 4 or all 5 levels dependent upon theme and desire, the gist is to get the most out of your offensive options (Body as a Weapon, Improved Natural Attack, etc.).

Foregoing the more combat oriented classes/PrC's and pumping more levels into Arty can benefit you as well. Infusions like Iron Construct and all the armor/weapon infusions are cake.

Your shield bash attack isn't going to be very good. I recommend you go with a Greatsword and look in Races of Eberron to get natural attacks added to your full attack routine. If you take Improved Bull Rush, there's no reason not to take Shock Trooper (Complete Warrior). You get a nice little bonus to your bull rush attack as a Juggernaut, so might as well put it to use. Shock Trooper combos nicely with Combat Brute (Complete Warrior) as well.

I'd actually be tempted to do something that puts those spikes you get from the Juggernaut class to good use. Maybe a grappler or just a TWF'er with the spikes as your "off-hand". Grapplers can be pretty nasty, though.

I recall that Warforged Juggernaut/Frenzied Berserker can leave a room with the aroma of cheese.

What, with a base foot speed of 20 feet? Unless the WFJ/FB makes sure to fight people only in broom closets and bathrooms, I'm sure that most enemies could escape him by walking away.

Unless there's something I'm missing.

Oh sure, he's probably a nightmare on paper, but how well does he work in-game?

And do be careful with the Juggernaut. You eventually become immune to healing magic, which means you can no longer be resurrected. Only a Wish or Miracle spell can save you at that point (if those are even allowed).

Unless, again, there's something I'm missing. Sue me, it's 1:30 AM and I'm tired.

Anyway... Even if it does work well, WFJ/FB is too cheap, even for my liking...

Fighter 2/Wizard 4/SpellSword4/WFJ5/SpellSword10

Spells you need:
Expeditious Retreat (takes care of WFJ movement)
Magic Missile (range)
Burning Hands (AoE for pesky swarms)
Cure Light Damage (healing)
Cure Moderate Damage (healing)
Wraithstrike (Better thank true strike)
Scorching Ray (for spellsword)

Can keep your same feats.
