The newest version of Anyspell/Greater Anyspell can be found in the Player's Guide to Faerun.

Check out the Faerun books: Magic of Faerun, Player Guide to Faerun, etc.

Anyspell allows the divine caster to prepare an arcane spell of 2nd level or lower for later casting. The arcane spell being prepared must be read from a spellbook or scroll, any components required for the arcane spell is still needed at time of casting. The arcane spell takes up the 3rd-level slot.

Greater anyspell allows an arcane spell of 5th level or lower.

Both spells actually changes the arcane spells into divine spells.
I assume changing to divine spells also mean no arcane spell failure due to armor and so on.

under the same topic, but different question

does anyspell/greater as, qualify a PC for and "arcane" spellcasting ability?
or is it still Divine?

ie: will It allow a Cleric 5/Wizard 1 with Anyspell to go into Mystic Theurge?

No. The spell becomes divine in nature.

Well, technically, you cast the spell as a wizard, so it's Arcane.

But IIRC, Wizard's customer Service has stated that anyspell cannot qualify you for PrC's that need Arcane Casting because the spell remained a Divine spell.

That is the default opinion around here, but if you can convince the DM otherwise, good for you. But i think most of the DM's wouldn't allow it.

The newest version of Anyspell/Greater Anyspell can be found in the Player's Guide to Faerun

Was Anyspell updated? Wasn't it only in FRCS?

Mmmm....hexes, full casting progression, and full BAB...

It's an ok PrC, but I'm sure there are better ones to get some full BAB for a cleric without screwing his caster level.

Only Windwalker is left, IIRC. Hospitaler went the way of lowered CL.

If you are attempting to get the arcane requirement fulfilled without taking an arcane casting class, take the Magical Training feat (allows you to cast 3 cantrips).

Mystic Theurge requires both 2nd level Divine and Arcane spells...
Magical Training wont help me.

Everyone else, thanks for the help.
