I was just wondering, is there any reason why i cant make an apostel of peace who dont give a crap about poverty... I meen i "loose" the benefit of that one feat, but i take useless feats all the time to get into PrC's "endurance, skillfocus etcs"

I was just wondering.

Pfft...it says you MAY wear magical items to protect you. But in all honesty, you won't need them. Especially if you take a level in Monk or Ninja for the Wisdom bonus to AC.

This is where you stand in front of the enemy screaming "PACIFIST!!!" at the top of your lungs whilst they break there weapons on your Vow of Peace and your living it up in Vow of Poverty.

Now go forth and be the ultimate Ghandi.

Also, to answer your question, you could do that. But why give up such a good feat? Things like Skill Focus and Endurence are notably sucktastic. Vow of Poverty is like it's own class of awesomeness.

The main reason that I can see for you not wanting to lose Vow of Poverty is that it is stated in one book that if you no longer meet the prereqs for a PrC, you lose the benefits of the class and can no longer advance.

Also, it was stated that the ability to use protection items by the apostle of peace was an error.

I surely dont hope you loose all benifits of a PrC if you no longer meet the pre req. Otherwise you can never have 10 lvl's of dragon disciple as the pre req is that your not a dragon, and the prc makes you into one, and even worse what happens when a Fallen Paladin 1 / blackguard 10 gets hit by a maximized Ray of Enfeeblement and it drops his strength below 13, and he looses access to power attack, does he loose all benifites of the 10 blackguard lvl's?

If this is how things work with PrC's i realy want someone to tell me.

No you would not lose your Black guard levels but you would not be able to power attack imo of course. However you are dealing with BOED and by breaking your Vow of Poverty you may no longer be exalted. Personally I would not trade in Vow of Poverty the bonus exalted feats are really worth it especially if you're in a low item campaign.
