Clearly, aiming for Full Casting, and Epic-Ready for Magelord. Looking for a better solution than I currently have... Lend a hand!

Using the Militand Wizard from UA for Fighter Feats instead of Wizard Feats.
Also using UA's level buyoff as well.

Race: Grey Elf /w Shadow Template (+2LA). (Dark Grey Elf?)
(Bracketed Feats are Bonus Feats)
(Italic Abilities are granted by Shadow Template)

Wizard1: Iron Will, (Improved Initiative)
Wizard2:
Wizard3: Extend Spell
Wizard4: (DR 5/Magic)
Wizard5: (Weapon Focus<Ray>)
Incantatar1: Spell Mastery, (Persistant Spell)
Incantatar2:
Incantatar3: (Evasion)
Incantatar4: Signature Spell, (Silent Spell)
Incantatar5:
Magelord1:
Magelord2: Craft Wondrous Item (Optional) (Fast Healing 2)
Magelord3:
Magelord4:
Magelord5: Spell Mastery (Optional)
Magelord6: (Planeshift 1/day)
Magelord7:
Magelord8: Spell Mastery (Optional)
Magelord9:
Magelord10: (+2 Luck bonus on all saves)

I like the "feel" of the Magelord, so please no suggestions about taking Incantatrix10 (Been There, Done That) or other PrC's.
I'll be aiming for a pocket-knife utility mage, that has spell mastered the common blasting (Balls, Bolts, Rays) and movement (Silent Dimension Door, etc) spellsm for combat and emergencies.
1st 5 Levels of Incantatar are mainly for Metamagic Effect-ing persistant spells. Meta-Spell Trigger is very optional for me, if you can see a better 1-level dip, keeping in mind locked feats until level 10.

Suggestions Welcome on:
-Alternate/Faster Ways to get evasion (remember full casting!).
-Last 3 Feats.
-Whether the only other PrC I'd consider (Archmage) is worth it for the effective loss of those last 3 feats.

06-05-05, 10:56 PM If you are using LA buyoff, you might look into the Darkones from Fiend Folio; they get Evasion as a racial ability. And they get racial sneak attack too.

Great suggestion! However, as I recall, Dark Ones (weren't there 3 of them?) have a level adjustment, AND Hit Dice. And from what I can see, LA Buyoff is ONLY for the LA, not higher HD. If someone can confirm...???
I don't have my FF here, but that could be one solution.

Any others?

The shadow template can NOT be the best way in, surely?

06-07-05, 12:36 AM Well, you can get evasion from Spelldancer (Magic of Faerun), but it requires a butt-load of feats, and would screw your character concept, perhaps.
