So let's have a contest! The winner will get a custom avatar and the admiration of his/her fellow board members!

Phase 1:

Option 1:
The Object: Create a Chef worthy of holding the Iron Chef title. Your chef must herald from a specified region and optimize that region somehow (See THIS (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=405843) thread for full info about this option.)

Option 2:
The Object: Create a Kitchen worthy of becoming the Kitchen Stadium that will host the Iron Chef Contest. See THIS thread for full info about this option.

You may post entries in either or both options.

Entering and Voting:From the 20th to the 24th (and not before or after then), entries will be posted to this thread. During this time, you may edit your post. But after the 24th, please don't (so that we don't get any late cries of "foul!"). The poll will then run from the 24th to the 28th. On the 28th, Kitchen Stadium and three Iron Chef Contestants will be named and will compete in phase 2.

On the 24th, a poll will be set up with all of the entries on it, in random order. Members will vote on what chef they think:
Is the most optimized kitchen
Allows for the most versitle cooking
Will be the best kitchen in which to hold Phase 2 of this contest
Is the most interesting and fun to read ("Cheese" is encouraged)

The Kitchen Stadium creator will recieve a Custom Title.

Again, here's the timeline, for clarity:
Up to April 19th: Design your kitchen.
April 20th - April 24th: Post your kitchen to this thread, and edit it if you see fit, as well as review others' builds for legality. (Chefs will be posted on THIS (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=405843) thread)
April 25th: The voting poll goes up on this thread. Vote for your favorite build!
April 29th: Poll comes down, and the Kitchen Stadium winner and 3 Iron Chef Contestants are declared!
May 3rd Iron Chef Contests post their 4-6 dishes in another thread
May 5th Poll goes up on that thread
May 9th Poll comes down and the Iron Chef is declared
[/INDENT]

Rule Disagreements:If any member of the community thinks that any entry is invalid due to rules illegality, it is his or her obligation to bring it up in the questions thread for this month. Here, the rules will be debated by the members of the community, moderated and participated in by the director. The director of the contest, reserve the right to call upon "spirit of the rules" as a reason to declare a build illegal.

Kegdrainer: Kegdrainer's Tavern and Inn

Discription:Kegdrainer’s Tavern and Inn, (one story wooden building with underground section) located 50 miles south of Wroat on the road to Sharn in Breland (Eberron), serves as a caravan stop for those not using the Lighting rail between Wroat and Sharn.

Seating 100 people between two fancy taverns and two fancy dining areas, a luxurious kitchen provides fine foods from Khorvaire and from across the planes. Two invisible helpers based in the kitchen help the cooks with small tasks.

A luxurious auditorium with the finest wood paneling, serves as gathering place for traveling bards to perform for the guests. Special magic allows visitors to understand any language spoken in the room. This characteristic eliminates any language barrier, permitting merchants to freely trade, making it a perfect stopping point to make deals. Two fancy baths serve the diners needs. An office by the entrance serves to secure the weapons of guests during their stay, to give the guests a comfortable dining atmosphere in addition to securing any valuables of those staying in the inn. Everburing torches (22) provide illumination through out the facility in the early morning and late at night. 40 good shuttered windows allow light during the day if it is not raining.

Originally designed as a tavern, the place was expanded after the war with the increase in caravan traffic between Sharn and Wroat. Twenty individual bedrooms (2 gp a night, meals not included) form one side of the facility. Sorry, no common room is available. Access to the inn after hours is prohibited, so be in your room before closing. Two separate baths are available for guests of the inn’s use. Room service is available for a nominal charge.

Staffed by six cooks, eight servants and four maids, the dining area opens an hour before sunrise and remains open until three hours after sunset. Sections of the establishment will be closed during the day to allow the staff to take breaks, so be advised that you may have a wait for seating if you visit between meals. You can place reservations with the maitre d' or clerk during operating hours at the office. Two strong wooden doors guard the entrances to the establishment. Both are barred when the establishment is closed.

On the same side as the inn lies the staff section. Visitors are prohibited access to the staff section. A fancy bedroom suite (with private bath), serves the owner’s personal needs. An adjacent office with connecting library contains books on cooking, brewing, and the planes to aid in the operation of the establishment and for reference. On the other side of the staff area, bedrooms for the maitre d', clerk, and brewers provide a break from work for the staff. Servant quarters fill out the rest of the section. A storage area for the staff and inn sections provide laundry and other storage needs of the facility. A good wooden door (good lock) prevents access to the staff area.

Originally a Dolgrim lair, a fancy work area under the establishment provides the inn with their own line of beer and ales crafted by the in-house brewer. Iron Lion beer is the local favorite, with Flame ale a close second. The second work area is used for the production of wine and distilled spirits. Two fancy storage areas offer storage for wines and dry goods while the pantry of preservation in the third area provides for the storage of meat and other perishable items. A storage room underground is used to keep spare equipment. Hidden in one corner is a secret door (Strong wooden, DC 30) that leads to a secret meeting room (lead shielded) for visiting Gatekeepers. A ramp guarded by a strong wooden door (barred except when needed) proves access to the storerooms from the outside, allowing for rapid unloading of supplies.
