Hi there,
I'm currently playing a Genasi character in a Forgotten Realms game based in Battledale. I am playing a character who's a Calishite Genasi of mixed Blood Heritage (we may be using the bloodline rules later on, we're uncertain on this, meantime I'm still playing a LA +1).

The character's concept is an outcast who has been thrust into the natural world and is of the bloodline of both Djinn and Efreet. As such, he's been created as an Air Genasi with the starting feat of "Bloodline of Fire"

He was created as an outcast thrust into the Natural world, and as one who sees the natural world, and magic as an extension thereof. As such I was grooming him for the Arcane Heirophant class, until I saw that the Geomancer and was also musing on Archmage and how to rig all three together, if possible and is it worth my while to do so? I know that's a ridiculously tall order, but supposedly this campaign's going all the way to epic (27th) levels, soooo . . . Geomancer is amazing for Spell Versatility but blows in that I can't bulk up both casting levels at the same time. 10 levels or at least 6+ is really what you need to make spell versatility and ley lines work for you. On the other hand, Arcane Heirophant is just awesome for all the class based and druidic benefits one can squeeze out of it, BUT, it really sparsely spaces out those channel Plants and channel animals abilities to make sure there's no dipping, which I understand.

So now he's about to level his 7th class level and I am in a complete conundrum of how I want to approach this, and was wondering if anyone else had any interesting advice to offer.

Here's his expanded stats as hinted at earlier:

Str 12
Dex 16
Con 13
Int 19
Wis 16
Chr 11

Feats:
Bloodline of Fire
Elemental Spellcasting (Fire)
Practiced Spellcaster
3 Druid / 3 Wizard

Is it worth my time to take Blistering Spell as my next feat and buff Wizard to go for Energy Substitution (Fire) or Energy Sub (Lightning) and then Lord of Three Thunders? Or should I be quitting all this prestige class frivolity and instead riding out wizard until I have the feats to qualify for Archmage?

And lastly does bloodline of fire and elemental spellcasting work on spells I energy sub -into- fire, or only spells with the fire descriptor in the text?

Thanks all in advance!

My opinion, can Geomancer entirely. Despite what you might think, it's really not a pure spellcaster class.

A typical Druid 3/Wizard 3/MT 2/AH 10/MT 2 (AH 7 for epic levels) is all you need.

Are both those MT's Mystic Theurges?

And do they accomplish much by doubling them up like that?

What if I wanted to go Archmage? Could that be squeezed in by redoing subsequent feat choices and buffing wizard at least for the free metamagic feat at 5th?

The problem is that AH requires bab +4, so you need one more. The best way to get that is MT because you keep the double casting all the way through, 9th lvl druid spells are better then archmage
