I really wanted to build something around the Enlightened Fist prestige class in the Complete Arcane. This build is unfinished, because I am having trouble optimizing him. Here he is at 12th level:

Human

32 pt. buy, +3 for levels, +2 for paragon

str - 14
dex - 15
con - 14
int - 10
wis - 16
cha - 16

1 Sorc 1: Summon familier, combat casting, dodge
2 Monk 1:Stunning Fist, Flurry of Blows, Improved Unarmed Strike
3 Monk 2:Combat Reflexes, Evasion, Deft Oppurtunist
4 Human Paragon 1: Adaptive Learning
5 Human Paragon 2: Hold The Line
6 Human Paragon 3: +2 (Wis), Mobility
7 EF 1: Ki Strike (magic), Monk abilities
8 EF 2: Fist of Energy
9 EF 3: Arcane Fist, Sidestep
10 EF 4:
11 EF 5: Arcane Rejuvination
12 EF 6: Fist of Energy (burst), Karmic Strike

BAB= +7
Saves= +6, +9, +13
Caster level 8 (with the spells per day of an 8th level sorc.)

What I like about this build is the potential for manuverability, making touch attacks as part of a full attack (his low BAB is hindering this), and bringing them down with attacks of oppurtunity.

In the future Id like for him to have Freeze the Lifeblood, but he needs a BAB of +10. Any ideas? Also, the enlightened fist gets to make ray attacks as touch attacks during a full attack at EF 7. You could probably drop out of the PrC at this point.

Just an afterthought:

If you wanted to stay away from combat feats and get some metamagic feats, the enlightened fist could spontaneously metamagic his touch/ray spells and still make them as part of a full attack.

Grab Asetic Mage from Complete Adventurer.

No multiclass penalty, more damage and Cha instead of Wis to AC, it's just what you need.

Thought about it, but it doesn't really help this character out at all. First, I have no multiclass penalty right now (and there are no multiclass penalties for prestige classes), second I think it would be foolish to go back into monk as I will lose even more caster levels and now that I am high enough lvl for all the cool prestige classes I'm sure there are better choices, and third my wisdom and charisma are the same so there is no point in taking a feat that does absolutely nothing besides sacrificing spells for 1 attk/dmg per spell lvl sacrificed.

Ascetic Mage allows you to optimiza your stats better. You can reduce your wisdom and max out your Charisma. Definitely an excellent choice. The only drawback currently is that you only have 1 sorcerer level to fuel the rest of the AC progression.

If you did go this route, your stats could look like this (after all the level and class bonuses)

STR 14
DEX 14
CON 14
INT 10
WIS 10
CHA 21

The lower wisdom will hurt your Stunning Fist DC, but I am partial to the Cobra Strike monk style from UA for this build. You'll lose stunning fist, but you'll be able to place Combat Reflexes as a first level feat and you will have the feat slot open to take Ascetic Mage without sacrificing anything else out of the build.

This will net you with an unarmored AC of 18 before Dodge, Mobility, and magical items. This improves from your previous 15 and could very well be worth the loss of Stunning Fist. It'll reduce some of your AoO options, but the DCs on your spells will increase to compensate.

Isn't freezing the lifeblood a requirement of +2 BAB?

I would have taken the Battle Sorcerer instead of Sorcerer.

Here was a draconic version that i made that is over all pretty kick butt.
Human

Battle Sorcerer 1-Draconic Heritage (Whatever you like), Draconic Claw
Monk 1 -Stunning Fist, Unarmed Strike,
Monk 2 -Acestic Mage, Combat Reflexes,
Battle Sorcerer 2-
Battle Sorcerer 3-
Battle Sorcerer 4-Combat Casting
Enlighten Fist 1-
Enlighten Fist 2-
Enlighten Fist 3-Improved Natural Weapons (unarmed strike)
Enlighten Fist 4-
Enlighten Fist 5-
Enlighten Fist 6-Sun School
Enlighten Fist 7-
Enlighten Fist 8-
Enlighten Fist 9-Practice Spellcaster (Battle Sorcerer)
Enlighten Fist 10-
Battle Sorcerer 5-
Battle Sorcerer 6-a Bloodline Feat
Battle Sorcerer 7-
Battle Sorcerer 8-

The cool part about this was whenever you cast Dimension Door you gained the benefits of one of the Sun Schools tactics for a quick attack + got to use your draconic claw as well as a swift action. You still end up with a caster lv 20 (spells of a 16th lv Battle Sorcerer) Bab=14, full monk damage, as well as AC, and all lvs use d8 hit dice.
