Is it possible to get the Arcane Strike feat (from the Complete Warrior book) by 6th level?

Every build I have created, or seen posted gets the feat around 9th level.

The requirements for Arcane strike is +4 BAB, and ability to cast 3rd level arcane spells.

Unless you use the Battle Sorcerer, no.

Battle Sorcerer 6 (from UA) can do it, barely. Can't think of any others off the top of my head.

My gaming group doesnt use UA, but we do use all the other WoTC books.

If you cannot get Arcane Strike by 6th level, then what is the lowest level you can get it? It seems to me that 9th level is the lowest, because Arcane Strike is a general feat, and no class or prestige class offers it as a bonus feat. Thus, you have to take it as a one of the feats you get every three levels.

Check the Arcane Gish thread. There was one post (that was edited and removed) that claimed to be able to get Arcane Strike at level 6. The poster realized her/his errror and removed it.

The "Many times in many threads by many posters" is just an expression (and it sounded so good to type).

"I think I have a healthy ego."

your smileys get better every time, i really love this king-o-smile.

most PrCs can be qualified by 5th level so that they can be taken at 6th, the few exceptions are not PrCs that add to BAB in any way.

with a half-BAB-class there is no way to reach BAB 4 at lvl 6 because you would need a PrC that grants full BAB which you can take at 5th lvl.

Don't forget a 7th lvl bard gets 3rd lvl spells.

This is where my bardic pale master with arcane strike loved to play!!!!

This is why I asked you to provide links. I did a search for "arcane strike" on these messageboards. I found plenty of responses, but nothing which talked about getting Arcane Strike at 6th level. If someone had provided an answer in a previous discussion, I wouldnt have posted this query in the first place.

Bards can qualify for Arcane strike by 7th level, as a previous post mentioned, but there is no way to get the feat at 7th level, since regular characters dont get a feat at 7th level, and no other class/prestige class offers Arcane Strike as a bonus feat.

Assuming we avoid UA rules, then it looks like 9th level is the earliest you can get Arcane Strike, unless someone steps up to the plate, and proves me wrong.

Maybe in speaking to your dm, you can both work out a compromise whereby you would be able to take the feat at 6th lvl, but not have any access to the abilities it allows you until you reach the prereqs, otherwise there really isn't anyway the feat progression (as far as bonus feats) allows you to take it. Or, ask your dm to allow you take to take it as a bonus feat anyway via fight/PrC once you reach the prereqs, good roleplaying should outshine the rulebooks 100%.
