Arcane Summoner [Archive] - Wizards Community

12-11-05, 10:18 PM could anyone please suggest a spell list for one? I was thinking of going with the one suggested in the complete sorc thread that's sorc5/Mage of the arcane order4/thaumaturgist5/sacred exorcist6, and wondering if there's any helpful spells beyond the obvious summoning choices.

12-11-05, 10:34 PM Can you link that thread for me please? I generally don't pay attention to Sorcerer builds, but I have to ask how they are qualifying for Thaumaturgist since it specifically requires Planar ALLY and not Planar BINDING.

Anyway, the Planar Binding chain is pretty well required, as are a few Thaumaturgist levels if you are allowed to qualify. Cut off Thaumaturgist at 4, 5th level gives absolutely nothing of any value to anyone right in the head (except, of course, an overly-expensive minion thats too weak to adventure with the group).

There are a number of particularly interesting Demon summoning builds. Something to the effect of Wizard 5/Diabolist 9/Nar Demonbinder 6 (or ND 2/Thaumaturgist 4 with Extra Spell).
