Where are you getting the extra 4d7 on that arcane strike, your sorc only has 3rd level spells, and just has them at that?

Sorry, it was late, I was doing some funky math. That should be 12/13 d4 each.

...

Arcane Strike gives miscellaneous bonuses and never states that more than one spell cannot be channeled at once. By 6th level, the sorcerer has:

3rd level * 3 = 9
2nd level * 5 = 10
+ 1st level * 6 = 6
--------------------
Total levels = 25

The attack rolls are increased, period, regardless of which weapon you channel spells in. It specifies a singular weapon getting the damage increase though, which is why I split it. Would have the attacks at 8 higher each, but Arcane Strike limits you to doubling your BAB. So we just have 17 (highest iterative) + 17 + 5 from Dervish + 1 from Weapon Focus.

Forgive me if I'm interpreting the feat incorrectly, BTW.

Complete Warrior and PHB were all I used for this.

Well going into the whole spirit or letter of the rules arguement, the quote from the feat does say you must sacrifice one of your spells for the given day, not atleast one. The entire wording of the feat revolves around a single spell being sacrificed. I'm not sure if this was the intent but it was the letter

I'm not one of those people who likes to violate the intent of a rule, but I honestly don't read any sort of intent from that that you can ONLY use one.

"You must sacrifice one of your spells per day (of 1st level or higher)..."

While I agree they should have read "...one (and only one)..." it looks to me like you're only supposed to be able to use one. Otherwise, what is stopping a Ftr1/Sorc6 from sacrificing all of thier level 1+ spells in order to do: +25 to hit +25d4 to damage in one hit? Add 4 levels of EK, Power Attack, an 18 Str and a +2 Greatsword and you're looking at somthing around a +50/+45 to hit 2d6+52d4+24 damage per hit (so, basicly x2) attack! Woooo! Sure you are out of spells but you just killed a dragon with a CR equal to your level in 1 round! And thats without getting fancy at all.

"Dragon? What dragon? Oh, you mean that bloody smear over there?"

Somehow I don't think that is what they intended :D

While I agree that probably wasn't the intent of the feat, in regards to using all of your spell slots for a single attack, you'd just better hope that you don't roll a 1. ;)

Frankly, I don't think killing a dragon in one hit by expending virtually everything your character has is all that hot, especially when you might miss and lose it all anyway. Especially since any dragon in its right mind would explode in a fountain of gore... and then disappear into thin air, leaving the (now almost powerless) PC faced with the actual dragon and a whole lot of illusionary dry-cleaning to do.
