The most efffective way to go into Arcane Trickster is the Generic Spellcaster variant class. You can have a fast sneak attacking progression and no CL loss. |
| MetalGemini10-02-04, 11:14 AM | Wizard 5/Rogue 3 is the minimum and easiest way to qualify. You can get creative with Bard 7/Assassin 3 -- takes a little longer, but you get bardic abilities and can cast in light armor the whole time. |

| Mommy was an Orc10-02-04, 05:36 PM | I find Rogue 1/Wizard 5 to be the strongest choice(followed by 2 more levels of Rogue). Keeps the dead levels to a minimum and allows you to cast Haste, making you always useful to the party during the weakest ones. Also, you can use Heroism + high Int to deal with the disable device/search problem. Most optimum of all of course is convincing another player to take on the scout duties...
