Bard arcane trickster? That will take a little bit of time to get into.

Rogue1 /Bard4 /Unseen Seer3 should get you into the class (AFB right now, I think Unseen Seer is easy to get into from Bard). Unseen seer will add to your sneak attack and spellcasting. Source is Complete Mage.

If you want to be the face of the party instead of doing trapfinding, use a Changeling and the changeling substitution level from Races of Eberron (not sure if that is available).

Complete Mage, or just the old Completes?

If Complete Mage.

Rogue 3/Bard 2/Unseen Seer 5/Sublime Chord 1/Arcane Trickster 9

Is there a reason for choosing bard? Because they have few methods of delivering sneak attack damage, unless it's looking to be a melee character, in which case AT just cuts the BAB. It's really a very sub-optimal idea, but I'll assume you have logic for it... right?

i was looking for a good way to combine rogue and bard. I like rogue and my fav class is bard. and was hoping if i can combine the 2 effectivly i could be usefull all over. but at same point i didn't want to loose out on the higher spells of a bard as they prove useful

Rogue 3/Bard 2/Unseen Seer 5/Sublime Chord 1/Arcane Trickster 9 then

Gain a sneak attack at lvls 1, 3, 6, 9, 13,15,17,19 for a total of 8d6. That is before you add Hunter's Eye to the bag. You get 9th lvl spells with this build and at low lvls are still an effective rogue with some bard spells.

Rogue 2 / Bard 6 / Daggerspell Mage 2 / Sublime Chord 2 / Daggerspell Mage 3-10

Intended as a melee rogue, using Arcane Strike, Inspire Courage, Bardic spells and Snowflake Wardance (Frostburn) to make up for the below par BAB (+13).

Not sure how viable it is without Snowflake Wardance though tbh.
