Hi! Need a little help with something. My Warlock died last week and I am trying to build a new character. I want to play a heavy caster, and my party already has a Cleric and our arcane caster is gearing up towards Arcane Trickster.

I've always been tempted by the Mystic Theurge, but I'm not sure if I want to go with a straight Wizard/Cleric build. As far as combat goes, we don't have any area of effect damage. Our other party members are a Dervish and an Order of the Bow Initiate.

For straight damage, I was thinking Wizard/Shugenja, but that might be too cheesy. Does anyone have any suggestions as to Race/Classes? Also, combinations of spells would be nice, too.

Oh, I'm looking to build either a Chaotic Good or Neutral Good character, and I need to be 6th level.

Try Druid. He is a mix of very good damage spells and some very good healing capability and the oh-so-powerfull Wildshape synergy he has makes him a better melee class than most would like to admit. One extra plus is that he only needs 2 stats to excel (that is Wisdom and Intelligence) and he arguably needs no multiclass in order to be top notch. The only thing to watch out for an optimized Druid build is the feats you choose.I'd recomend Extend, Empower and Quicken from Metamagic, Rashemi Elemental summoning (if you play FR) and Exalted and Draconic Wildshape and ofc the best Druid feat ever Natural Spell. This covers up all the feats you'll get if you are not a Human.
