Using 3.5 feats, skills, etc. Can anyone help tweek this out to be a bit better?
Human Rogue 4, Wiz 5, Arcane Trickster 8, Archmage 4

Point Blank Shot, Percise Shot, Skill Focus (Spellcraft), Practiced Spell Caster (Wizard), Spell Focus (Enchantment), Spell Focus (Illusion), Ranged Spell Focus, Razing Strike, Improved Percise Shot

Archmage Abilities (Arcane Reach, Spell Power, Mastery of Elements, Arcane Fire)

Basically he uses Illusions (like superior invisibility), and Enchantments (like Hold person), to gain the upper hand on enimies he can't illude completely by similar means. Very versatile character, currently lacking only in antimagic field or dead magic zone.

Any suggestions on some higher level spells to help deal with undead, plants, and oozes? Elementals arn't too hard with mastery of elements and polar ray, and Constructs are dealt with using Razing Strike and god forbid actually getting into melee (with allies, never alone).

Wouldn't it be better to go Rogue 3 instead of Rogue 4 so you have more spellcasting levels? If you're focusing on being an "Arch-Trickster" and hence an arcane spellcaster, I think Rogue 3 is a better option. If you plan on Enchanting others every little bit counts and every levels gives you higher level spells.

I'd assume that the 4th lvl of Rog is for the skill gap. Prevents him from having to cross-class his skills.

My advice on the build would be two pick up two wands of Twin Spelled Ray of Frost or Acid Splash. Then get two weapon fighting, craft wand, and Duel Wand Wielder. That way, you get 4 attacks of 1d3 elemental damage at shortrange. However, with all of your illusion spells, you'd most likely catch your opponent flat-footed and thus get 4 sneak attacks that take the form of whichever element. Ends up being a good amount of damage and a fun character to play.

Also, look at Daggerspell Mage from Complete Adventurer, it's better than Arcane Trickster in several ways.

daggerspells a divine caster isn't it? Druid. I'll go look at it.

Spell activation IS a lot like actually casting a spell isn't it? Hrm... so I can mastery of elements it. Interesting indeed... thanks. That's hard to work into that particular character concept but powerful for an arcane trickster.

There are two Daggerspell classes. One is a Druid, the other an arcane caster.

DaggerSpell Mage is a good way into Trickster — Rog1/Wiz5/DSMageX/ATX... Don't have book with me, so I don't know how many levels to devote to DSMage. However, it requires a different feat allocation.

Necrosnoop is correct on Rog3/Wiz5 — if you space out your Rogue levels properly you don't have to take anything Cross-class. Rog1/Wiz5/Rog2 will do the trick.

And what makes you think you can use Mastery of Elements with a wand? I don't recall seeing anything to that regard. Activating an item is NOT casting, and MoE only applies to spells that are cast.

In general, I'd say only 3 Archmage level. Spell Power is nice, but not necessary. Use that level for something else you qualify for.

Yeah MoE doesn't work like that... I read the book carfully afterwards. I just thought that was what was being suggested. Spell Powers fine and about the only thing that fits the character when he qualifys for it.

Daggerspell Mage is an awesome class. I'll use it for a character later, a melee oriented rogue/sorc probably.
