Was wondering what feats to take after the basic nessessities. ranger3/ftr2/deepwoodsniper3/cragtop archer5/deepwoodsniper4-10 Feats taken Pointblank shot farshot mountain warrior exotic weapon prof greatbow weapon focus: greatbow (rapid shot [ranger levels]) I have two more spots for feats but I am unsure what I should take. Anybody have any ideas? FKN
J_Riley 09-17-04, 06:14 PM	Definitely Precise Shot... Can you use splat books or just core? Improved Rapid Shot from Complete Warrior removes the -2 penalty from Rapid Shot. I kinda like Manyshot and if you get any type of sneak attacks, you (I believe) can apply that to the first arrow of a Manyshot.

I looked at improved rapid shot, but it has a pre req of many shot... for that to be of any use I need to be within that 30ft range mark. I really don't think an archer should ever be closer then 100 ft. (preferably 600+) away. FKN

FarKadeNear 09-17-04, 06:45 PM	heheh... my build has all ten levels in it... how many more can I get before epic? as is with deepwood sniper and cragtop archer my guy here can fire arrows over a mile away... range increment of 480ft 15 range increments max = 7200ft -15 to hit my target... as a full round action can fire one arrow with no penalty. FKN
ksbsnowowl 09-17-04, 08:14 PM	If any book is in, then I'd take a look at the Peerless Archer PrC from FR's Silver Marches campaign accessory. Just 3 levels nets you Power Shot, an awesome ability for a sniper-type archer (if that is indeed what you are aiming at). Take a look at my Archer Build Thread, linked in my sig, to get an idea of what a Ranger X/Deepwood Sniper 7/Peerless Archer 3 is capable of doing.
