11-08-05, 07:52 PM When I looked at the Archivist, I immediately noticed the still mind class feature that they get. So I thought, "It can qualify for Fist of Zuoken." And thus, this build.

Archivist 8/Fist of Zuoken 3/Psychic Theurge 9

Gets you full 9th level divine spellcasting and 5th level powers.

Anyways, thoughts?

11-08-05, 08:18 PM I'd like to point out the irony that, with any divine caster other than the archivist, the FoZ shares a casting stat. This fact, makes the discovery, while interesting, likely not as strong as a theurge with casting stat synergy. For example, an Archivist 7/Psion 3/Psychic Theurge 10 gets 7th level powers and more power points/powers known/manifester level to accompany it, doesn't require wild talent.

The build has merrit in that it is a faster way to get powers from the Psychic Warrior side of things, though, as it would take four levels of either war mind or psychic warrior to qualify for psychic theurge, which takes the 9th level spells away from Cleric6/PsyWar or WarMind4/PsychicTheurge10.

Another interesting question: FoZ levels stack for purposes of monk AC bonuses and unarmed strike, but if you have no monk levels, do they grant them? I don't think they do.

11-08-05, 09:24 PM Well, the good thing about Fist of Zuoken is that at 21st level, you're already qualified for epic psionic feats because you can manifest powers of maximum level.

A better Break Point is still Archivist 8. Dark Knowledge: Foe is probably the strongest of all DK abilities.
