Hey guys, im trying my best to create the ultimate divine summoner and this is the best i can come up with.

Archivist 15/Thaumaturgist 5...

Pretty poor huh?

So ive come here seeking help on how to create the ultimate divine summoner. Ive chosen Archivist instead of druid or cleric so that i can get both summon monster and summon animal. Also, ill be true neutral with no god, so that i can summon creatures of any alignment.

Any ideas on how to improve this character would be greatly appreciated.

Chiers in advance.

Peace

If i cant get any help with this, what about a link to the Archivist's handbook?

Please wait 24 hours between bumps. The majority of board members don't live in the same timezone.

As for the handbook: there isn't one (mostly because of that versatility).

Take a look in Surreal's links & you'll find a fairly comprehensive spell list for the archivist & a thread of build ideas.

Archavist/Findbinder can be an interesting mix. You have nice synergies with Int being a primary stat, and it allows you to get some persistant minions.

Take some additional feats that augment your summon spells, such as Greenbound Summoning and Rashemi Elemental Summoning (though RES pretty much dictates that your character be female, assuming, of course, you follow the flavor of Rasheman).

Also, you might want to look into the summoning spells from the Planar Handbook that allow you to summon certain creatures one spell level lower (and thus sooner) than the Summon Monster and Summon Nature's Ally lists. Also, the Planar Exchange spells (including lesser and greater) may be of interest to you. They are Calling spells, but they allow you to directly control the creature as if you were it.
