Arctic, Frost Dwarf LA??? [Archive] - Wizards Community

10-11-06, 09:27 AM I wonder if the LA+2 for Arctic Dwarf in Races of Faerun is correct. I'ved looked into the Arctic Dwarf in Planar Handbook and he is at LA+1 with not so many changes compared to Arctic Dwarf...

Plz help to balance Arctic Dwarf.

RoF has a lot of LAs wrong.

10-11-06, 01:02 PM Actually, they're two totally different Dwarves. Arctic Dwarves in Faerun are very powerful little critters while the ones in Planar Handbook are more attuned to the planes. The Faerunian Dwarves are very fortiutous buggers and deserve their LA.

10-11-06, 04:40 PM Ok but when I compare these races I think that Arctic Dwarf isn't more powerful than this presentented in Frostburn --> Frost Dwarf. I just want to know why you think that arctic dwarf deserves LA+2? I think that that LA+1 is enought for that race. Please give me strong argumentation couse my MP isn't very tolerant...:D

10-12-06, 08:50 PM Just use the Arctic Dwarf from Unearthed Arcana (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/races/environmentalRacialVariants.htm#arcticDw arves).. +2 Str, +2 con, with no LA.. Big dex penalty, but a 2 level Deepwarden dip fixes that :) (check sig)
