Since this is my first experience with building a Gish character, and I understand and like the psionics system more than magic, I'm planning a 20th level build for tournament style play.

My build at the moment is

Human Ardent 1/Ranger 1/Ardent 9/Slayer 9
(Modded only by levels, with very lucky rolls)
Str 15
Dex 16
Con 17
Int 15
Wis 22
Cha 9

At this point, I'm not exactly sure where to go for feats, but I do have an idea.

Ardent 1: Psionic Weapon, Psicrystal Affinity
Ranger 1: Bonus Track Feat
Ardent 2: Practiced Manifester
Ardent 3:-
Ardent 4:-
Ardent 5: Illithid Heritage
Ardent 6:-
Ardent7:-
Ardent 8: Illithid Legacy
Ardent 9:-
Ardent 10:-
Slayer 2: Deep Impact
Slayer 3:-
Slayer 4:-
Slayer 5:Illithid Legacy, Greater
Slayer 6:-
Slayer 7:-
Slayer 8: Expanded Knowledge: Metamorphosis
Slayer 9:-
Slayer 10:-

To be honest, I'm not even sure what my BAB is, since I've never really used PrCs before. This is all a little new to me. Thank you for any help you can provide.

Illithid feats aren't a good idea, really and neither is deep impact.

I agree with SoulGamit, Illithid feats are not worth it. Psionic weapon isn't that good either. You need to expend your focus to use it, and without Psionic meditation it takes a full-round action to regain it, and even a move action with it.

And I suggest you take that one level of Ranger as your first level, for those 16 skill points.

Your BAB is 17. Just look at what each class has at that level you have it at, and then sum them up: 1 from Ranger 1, 7 from Ardent 10, and 9 from Slayer 9.
