| SmiloDan01-12-04, 03:01 PM | My 3rd level human monk has Sacred Vow and Vow of Poverty (which is just sick, by the way). Anyways, are there any good Exalted feats that enhance combat for the monk? His stats are 16, 16, 14, 14, 15, 13. His 3rd level feat is going to be Power Attack so he can get Cleave and/or Flying Kick from the Complete Warrior. He gets bonus exalted feats for levels 1 and 2 (and 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, and 20 eventually...). He has Stunning Fist and Combat Reflexes from his monk bonus feats. He'll probably take a lot of the cool feats from the Complete Warrior that enhance his Stunning Fist, like Rapid Stun and Weakening Blow or whatever drops your targets Str by 6. |
| Neonsamurai01-12-04, 06:53 PM | Good exalted combat feats: Intuitive attack Sanctify Ki-Strike / Holy Ki-Strike Fist of the Heavens Touch of Golden Ice Power Attack / Resounding Blow / Quell the Profane Vow of Purity Generally good exalted feats: Nymph's Kiss (a must have imo) Nimbus of Light / Holy Radiance / Stigmata Don't forget axiomatic strike from CW. |
| SmiloDan01-12-04, 07:10 PM | OK, what do they do? My Cha is only 13, so I don't qualify for Nimbus of Light, do I? |
| Master of the Squirrel's01-12-04, 07:21 PM | Take one of your stat increases in it if you have to. Nimbus and Holy Radiance are just to nice to pass up in my opinion. Also, Nymph's Kiss or Intuitive Strike should be your first Exalted Feat, and the other being the second, unless Nymph's Kiss just won't work storywise. Intuitive Strike just milks your wisdom for all it's worth, and the Kiss is excellent for skills and for taking away from the standard image of a homely martial artist that seems to be common in D&D. Touch of Golden Ice is just to nice to pass up. Your using your hands for attacks all the time, so why not make their Dexterity drain while your at it? I know I'm just basically repeating Neonsamurai's list, but it needs to be pointed out that these are EXCELLENT choice, and that you really should take them. |
| SmiloDan01-12-04, 07:56 PM | Well, I AM a skill :censored::censored::censored::censored: :censored:. So the Nymph thing is good. I also maxed out Diplomacy, so that would help too. [edit] I basically wanted to play someone with good people skills, good mobility, scholarly, and good senses. Monks have the skill set I wanted: Diplomacy and Sense Motive; Climb, Jump, and Tumble; Knowledge arcana and religion; Listen and Spot. And wow, auto censorship! Woo hoo! Now I can swear like a sailor! |
