Are warlocks tewakable? [Archive] - Wizards Community

09-25-06, 03:27 PM What is the best WARLOCK only build you can think of, I can't really think of many........ I am playing one just because they are fun but I like to munchkin characters and this is a challenge. What are your ideas for class build/items/feats.

1 Able Learner, PBS, Wild Talent, Psionic Shot, flaw, flaw
3 Precise Shot
6 Flyby Attack
9 Psychic Meditation
12 Greater Psionic Shot
15 Extraordinary Spell Aim
18 Quicken SLA: Flee the Scene

Lots of blast damage, the equivelent of Mobile Spellcasting, Spring Attack, and Shot on the Run in one feat while flying, a little more control over your AoE effects, a powerful escape plan, and ability to craft damn near anything. That's my favorite powerful Warlock build. It ain't munchkiny, either, just powerful. Munchkin is a horrible word to describe optimized. Best remove it from your lexicon.

You'll see some Daggerspell Shaper builds, some Fochlucan Lyricist builds, but they aren't, imo, true to the Warlock class (they might as well just splash Warlock).

Items will be fairly standard for all the builds: Greater Crusible of Fell Power (or whatever it's called) and Warlock Scepter, +dex and +cha items, mithril breatplate +x, maybe some staffs and scrolls, and that's about it.

09-25-06, 03:40 PM Oh come on you gotta admit warlock is low on the skills front at 2 per level. Fochlucan lyrist can at least bump it to 6 per level for 10 level.

It's more like a Gish splashing Warlock to me.
