This is for an gestalt 15-20 arena, and I had a build I thought I'd send in for critique, and to get an idea of what equipment or tactics to try. This is my first arena character ever, so don't be too harsh :D. I'm pretty set on making him a kobold dragon disciple based around evocation, but anything else can change. I haven't yet picked a dragon type, either. Right now I have blind-fight and rogue levels so that I can do battle with my eyes closed (nondetection + displacement/invisibility is really annoying, so blindsight is fun), and going for winged warrior at 16th level. Books usable: Core, Completes, Sandstorm, Frostburn, MM2, MM3, Arms and Equipment, Heroes of Battle, Manual of the Planes, and Eberron everything.

Kobold Rogue 5/Sorceror 15/Dragon Disciple 10
About 100,000 gp.
Base Ability Scores: 14, 12, 14, 12, 12, 16

Current Feats:
Blind-Fight
Transdimensional Spell
Empower Spell
Eschew Materials
Improved Initiative
Hover
Spell Thematics
Explosive Spell
Still Spell
Twin Spell

18 ranks in spellcraft, concentration, escape artist, move silently, and bluff.

We do point buy, 40 points:
18 32
17 25
16 18
15 13
14 8
13 5
12 2
11 1
10 0
9 -1
8 -2
House Rule: Sorceror's get Thematic Spell or Eschew Materials at first, 4 skill points, and a metamagic feat at 5, 10, and 15.

Suggestions?

[[EDIT]] Wanted to add some spells taken: Spell Turning, Emerald Flame Fist, Cone of Cold, Greater Dispel, Cone of Cold, Duelward, Reciprocal Gyre, Anticipate Teleport, Freedom of Movement, Fire Shield, Fireball and Lightning Bolt.

You need to focus. Dragon Disciple is a Melee PrC while your character is a primary Spellcaster.

Also, with the odd level Wizards will destroy you (8th level has lots of toys).

If you want to, use the Sorcerer for support buffing (true strike/wraithstrike/etc.) and fill out the rest with solid PrC's.

Sorcerer 4/Spellsword 1/Dragon Disciple 10
Fighter 4/Rogue 3/Nightsong Enforcer 8

If my calculations are right, then you should get... 11 2nd level spells (Wraithstrike whenever you want, plus 6 1st-levels for other stuff), full Dragon Disciple goodies, 3 Fighter feats, Improved Evasion, +14 BAB, base saves of +9/+8/+9, 5d6 sneakish, some little armor perks...

With a Ring of Blinking this build will tear new ones, especially if charger-style feats are added on.

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, if you gestalt only one of the classes can be a prestige class, and classes that give full casting progression as well as full BaB have to replace both classes per level. Do you have advice for what to fill in the other half of levels 6-15 with?

Spellsword doesn't give full casting progression... far from it actually. If you still have house-rule out the +caster level since all it really gives is another Wraithstrike per day.

If your DM is going to be a ninny about it like this then use the SA fighter from UA.

Sneak Attack Fighter 15
Sorcerer 4/Spellsword 1 (No Casting Progression)/Dragon Disciple 10

8d6 sneakish, 10 Wraithstrikes per day. Instead of a ring, pick up a couple scrolls of Greater Blink (CA: 1,125 gp each). Touch/FF attacks with massive charge bonuses and assorted Gnastiness makes up for it.

Honestly, it really doesn't matter how many or few PrC levels one can take because gestalt allows nuts powerful characters.
