pyro_cat 03-19-05, 09:31 AM	hi i'm looking to make a character that is based around riding a griffon, and i was wondering if someone could list all the prestige classes based around mounted arial combat, and what books you can find them in thanks p.s. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as well
Caelic 03-19-05, 09:51 AM	Sounds like Algalothian Griffonrider (and I'm misspelling the first word, but I can't for the life of me remember what it is) is what you're looking for. It's in Unapproachable East. If you take a look at my "Supermount" build, I have a fun little build that creates a really nasty griffon mount.

Tiax returns 03-20-05, 09:28 AM	Actually, a Paladin10/Cavalier10 or Paladin10/Halfling Outrider10 makes exellent use of your Gryphon mount. Check the DMG page 204 for rules on alternate special mounts. Also, if you already have a Gryphon, you could work with your DM on making it your special mount rather than summoning a different one from the outer planes.
Caelic 03-20-05, 09:49 AM	True, Tiax, but that only makes use of half of the potential of Halfling Outrider. Give the character a level of Beastmaster and Devoted Tracker, and Halfling Outrider will add both Animal Companion abilities AND Paladin mount abilities to that griffin.
