arms arms everywhere [Archive] - Wizards Community

01-03-04, 04:34 PM ok i dont know if this works because i dont have all the books necessary to figure this out and most of my gaming group is scattered off at college now but here is the idea:

thri-kreen or whatever the six armed base race from dark sun is.
gives you 6 arms. 10 levels of fang of Lloth. gives you an extra 6. now you got 12 arms. insectile template says you cant use the extra arms from the template to attack. but can you use these to attack? if thri-kreen is monstrous humanoid then you can add the vampire template which would give you level drain and alot of attacks. you would need multi attack, improved multi attack, etc to get all the extra attacks.... but think about that for a second. add wounding to your weapon which will give you -2 con -2 levels each time you hit. i think this could become ridiculous. but i dont have the books necessary. any kind soul out there could help me complete the build so i can stop thinking about it all the time ???

01-03-04, 05:54 PM It has been stated many times that the energy drain abilities only work once per round (in general). IIRC the vampire's energy drain is tied to their "Slam," which they only have one of regardless of their limbs.

01-03-04, 07:09 PM there is mad potential without level drain. the number of attacks possible i think adds up to around 64. so 64 attacks in a round leaves alot to be done just from wounding alone. although dont quote me on that, i need books. i am deprived, im on vacation and i dont have anything. its a nightmare

01-06-04, 08:21 PM If you have 8 arms, get a Keened Falchion or Spiked Chain that is specifically designed for 8 arms. Instead of X 1.5, your Str damage will be a CRAZY X 4.5!!!!! JESUS! Can you say WARHULK that baby?!

Thrown weapons are a great way to get a rediculous number of attacks. Here's an example.

Thri-kreen Rogue3/Swashbuckler3/MasterThrower1/FangOfLolth10

BAB is only +14, but with eight arms, that's not to big a deal.

Feats:
Point blank shot
Far shot
Precice shot
Weapon focus: dagger
Weapon finnesse (swashbuckler)
Quick draw (master thrower)
MWF
IMWF
GMWF

Master thrower trick: palm throw obviously

So that is +12/7/2*8 arms
+12/12/12/12/12/12/12/12/7/7/7/7/7/7/7/7/2/2/2/2/2/2/2/2=24 attacks.

Palm throw:
+12/12/12/12/12/12/12/12/12/12/12/12/12/12/12/12/7/7/7/7/7/7/7/7/
7/7/7/7/7/7/7/7/2/2/2/2/2/2/2/2/2/2/2/2/2/2/2/2=48 attacks.

Of course, carrying enough daggers to keep that up is rediculous, but that's not the point.

Sleeves of storing, my friend, sleeves of storing.

Though the 398,496 gp cost for 48 +1 daggers of returning would be quite hefty. (Lets hope they return handle first :D)
