But the Range is personal... The language seems to indicate the spell might end automatically if you don't use it though. Think it is a target for persistent spell?(particularly for the Chameleon Zen Archer Monk...) |

I doesn't specifically say that the spell ends, just that it has no effect. In the same way as a mage armor spell has no effect if you're not attacked, this spell has no effect if you do not use its effect. You would probably have to fire arrows as a full-round action in the first round, or the spell will have no effect. Otherwise it seems it would work fine. Mimics an epic feat if I'm not mistaken. Though I think that the range is far better. /Dervish |
| ksbsnowowl01-11-05, 09:09 AM | A Couple Questions: What spell lists is this on? Wizard, Cleric, Ranger? If this is a wizard spell, I'd imagine that a cleric archer or archer paladin wouldn't mind using Redirect Spell from Shining South to gain the benefit of this spell in certain combat situations. Assuming this is not a ranger spell, this possibility would certainly make it more advantageous to add Pious Templar levels to an archer build. You'd gain weapon specialization and Paladin spellcasting. |
| KimHal01-11-05, 10:07 AM | Ranger 4 only... |
| ksbsnowowl01-11-05, 10:18 AM | Ranger 4 only...Ah...Excellent! A bit harder to get a hold of than a wand of Hunter's Mercy, but getting a wand of this could be useful in the upper levels. |
| Fălenganor01-11-05, 10:45 AM | Chameleon Archer would be any good with this? I mean, he'll lost the cleric spells for the day he has due to divine focus, wouldn't he? |
| Qaetar01-11-05, 10:51 AM | Or use a Cleric base and go Chameleon. (Qaetar) |
| Fălenganor01-11-05, 10:57 AM | Cleric 10 only grants 7 BAB, you finish with 14 if you go Chameleon 10. EDIT: Forget it, persistent Divine Power :embarrass . |
| Mommy was an Orc01-11-05, 01:43 PM | Yup, if you could persist this and Divine Power, you gun down armies. Something only a Chameleon could do. Cleric 10 only grants 7 BAB, you finish with 14 if you go Chameleon 10. EDIT: Forget it, persistent Divine Power :embarrass . |
| scrollreader01-11-05, 04:21 PM | Or an artificer. I have to say, my Artificer is lovig the new spells in Complete Adventurer. This is just another happy example. |
