Hi, I'm liking the Artificer better now that i understand it more. But i was wondering what kinda strategy/feats could i use to make my homunclous better than 6hd? or what is the best Construct option for a Artificer? can i make a Clay golem (like a MAgical Item) with it? and use him like a "Pet"? Or should i stick with a bunch of 6hd Homnuclous? is there a limit on Homunclous's HD and number of them? Any Help please

Thanks
Mark

You can make any of the golems in the MM, provided you have the feat Craft Construct, are the appropriate level (remember you get to do things 2 levels earlier due to being an Artificer), you have the money/components/exp to spare, and you pass the required Use Magic Device checks.

and u have to pass the craft checks, so plan which constructs u want and take a couple ranks in the required craft skill
also, something funny i was thinking about is that if your DM throws any constructs at yall, if u can find a way to bind him for 24 hours somewhere where your party would be safe, you could use your suck the xp out of stuff ability on him and constructs usually require a lot

You can raise a Homonculus' HD as high as you want -- to a maximum of your Artificer level minus two -- though it gets a bit pricey at 2000gp and 160xp per HD. You can have as many as you can afford to make. If you want an army of homonculi though, definitely take the Improved Homonculus feat out of Magic of Eberron.
