| aaaron002-06-07, 09:45 PM | 5th level campain or a one shot. If it's going to be a long campain and you want to do the blast-type artificer grab all the meta magics you can to pump into your wands. If you are going for the crafter type, start picking up the ones that reduce cost in gold, xp and time. If it's a one shot and you can't craft prior to the start, ignore the crafting part. Even if it's a one shot you get the infusion that places a metamagic feat on a wand (if you can afford it to start with). Also, if it's a one shot, some DMs allow you to use your crafting pool for your infusions that cost XP so get that cleared up before you start. |

You, my friend, have yet to read the Optimized Artificer (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=287275) thread. There's also the Artificer Handbook (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=520855) with some equally impressive optimizations. They should have what you're looking for. |
