I'm currently in a campaign, we've already set underway so what I present is what I have already. What I'd like is a suggestion about feats a little bit. The campaign style we are in isn't full of min/max or optimizers, so I'm not shooting for thousands of damage or anything of the like. The metamagic feats I thought I'd get the most mileage out of are Extend, Persistent, Quicken, and Twin Spell. Beyond those I figure it just gets silly and I do have wizard levels to augment what an artificer can do. Currently we are level 2, if you want a laugh here are my stats:

Str 8
Dex 10
Con 10
Int 18
Wis 8
Cha 10

Surprisingly I've done very well despite my ability score shortcomings, relying a lot on my intelligence to get me through a fight or set conditions up favorably. While I know that won't fly, my stats are unfortunately pretty set in unless I died and restarted.

I have the following feats at level 2 as an artificer/wizard gestalt.
Scribe Scroll
Brew Potion
Exceptional Artisan
Extraordinary Artisan
Legendary Artisan

At level 3 I was planning on Item Familiar, and my DM seemed to be okay with that.
I'm working with max ranks in Use Magic Device, Concentration, Knowledge (Arcana), Spellcraft, Appraise, Open Lock, Disable Device, Search. Also I have 1 rank in craft Pottery, Sculpting, Metalworking, Weaponsmithing, and Alchemy. I don't plan on getting more than 1 rank, but I will continue adding till I can do the basics of every mundane item as this is a long term campaign.

I just picked up a Raven familiar, if that matters, did the ritual when we had some downtime and am quite happy with a primitive pocket scout.

So. With all that said, I should have all those metamagic feats by or around level 9 considering I have both Wizard and Artisan bonus feats to play with, and I wasn't planning on taking Extra Rings or Craft Construct till Artificer 20 and Wizard 20 respectively. But there are quite a few feats in between the end game and level 10 where I have no idea what to pick.

Also, item creation is something I admit I am still trying to learn and optimize around, is there a thread dedicated to the best things to craft as an artificer by level?

I'm a generalist wizard, and I'm not really concentrating on the spellcasting so much as it is there for me to use as utility, I'm really just building around the Artificer side, and unfortunately I can't prestige out or anything, I'm full sided Human wizard 20/artificer 20 (rather, will be unless I die, 10 hp at level 2, woo) So though I can't go nuts with levels, I can enjoy my pick of virtually anything 3.5 with the exception that Faerun is not available at all. (Eberron and "core" minus the spell compendium)

Anyways, I apologize if this is lengthy, I'd really appreciate any input or a thumbsup "looks good so far" or "shoot for making such and such by level x but otherwise go nuts"
Thank you kindly,

First off, if this isn't a high power campaign, Artificer//Wizard may be a bit much, as those are two exceptionally strong classes (if you really want to be stronger, drop Wizard for Archivist and use Artificer to make scrolls to learn all your Archivist spells...). At any rate, just by picking decent spells and making useful toys you'll be able to do absolutely anything.

Dude, you're playing a wizard/artificer... you don't need feats.

If you want to be a little more RP-oriented, go archivist/psionic artificer gestalt. Really, it's probably a bit closer to the character concept you seem to be aiming for.

Well I'm in a party with 3 other characters and I was aiming to be their go-to guy. So far a Monk/Cleric of Pelor, a Warblade/Crusader, and a Scout/Rogue. I was just looking to see if there was anything neat out there that I might have missed or something that I can shoot for as far as a combination gos. But it seems the classes I chose may give me the power I seek already so I can really just go nuts once I get my self determined "essential" metamagic feats out of the way.
