| Baron Von Chaos08-12-05, 09:46 AM | what should i be worried about. Please dont get me wrong im not saying "hey im the man nothing can stop me!" I just want to know what possible things could interupt or "mess with" my shapeshifting. Without being able to shapeshift im useless pretty much! How should i gear up in case i lose my shapeshift?? Currently i am Druid 5/MoMF 2 |

As soon as I got extraordinary abilities + War Troll the game was over. I actually am retiring the character so the other people in my group can have some of the action. So other than antimagic, there have been a few new spells that force shapechangers either to their normal form, or else force them to change every round(running through your many many WS). I also recommend a flight item and some way of shrinking(getting in a bag of holding as a last resort) so that you can stay in a strong melee form but still get past obstacles that your DM may throw at you to waste your WS uses. |

You can usually get out of them, but just in-case you're grappled I'd take some light weapons with me when I shapeshift, or wear spiked ironwood (or an equivalent, like bronzewood from ebberon or bluewood from unapproachable east) armor. There are ways to see through your shapechanging, so once you hit around the levels that truesight is around you stop being able to rely on it as a disguise all the time. IIRC there was some way to defeat truesight, through a class ability or item, but I can't remember what it is :( In certain forms, some GMs may have problems with you wearing particular items. This is especially true in the less humanoid forms like Abberation, Vermin, Ooze, and certain Elemental forms. Be sure to grab Wilding Clasps (4k, MotW) for key items that you want to keep in all of your forms. The opposeable enhancement is also a nice idea for a bow or other ranged weapon is also a candidate as many avian forms have great dexterity (Legendary eagle, dex 30, MM2) yet can stay up out of reach of some enemies. I can't think of any ways to really force a character back to their original form. Wildshape is a Supernatural ability, and is therefore not subject to dispelling (or even disjunctioning). I suppose you may run out of wildshape duration, you can only use it for 15 hours a day right now, but other than keeping a fair set of normal equipment on you I don't see much that needs done. |
