Assitance with the gatling chain gun tripper [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-05-05, 03:34 PM I was just going over the build, and noticed using TWF with a spiked chain... How is this possible, it is a 2H weapon.... Is it something with Jotunbrud, I do not know?

07-05-05, 03:41 PM Not a spiked chain. A blunt chain, from OA (there's another version in savage species). Lower damage (1d6), but can be used either as a double weapon or a reach weapon.

07-05-05, 03:42 PM There are other chains, from sources other than the PHB, that have a reach 'mode' and a TWF 'mode', and you can switch back and forth as you desire. I can't remember where they are, I'm sure the others on the board can fill you in. I think there's one in Oriental Adventures, one in the Underdark book, possibly one in Arms & Equipment. Check around. Hope that helps.
