I am working on an AT build and want to give the character the ability to where a light mithral shield. Now I know rogue does not grnat shield proficiency, despite having light armor p[roficiency as a onus feat. If I were to actually expend a feat to take ligth armor proficiency as stated in the PHB, would this then allow for the use of a shield in this context? If not, is there a way to achieve this goal?
X-Codes 11-26-06, 07:24 PM	All shields made of Mithral, save Tower Shields, have -1 ACP, meaning they have absolutely no non-proficiency penalty, although Heavy Mithral Shields still have 5% ASF, where Light Mithral Shields and Mithral Bucklers have 0%, making them great items for spellcasters to use even without proficiency. In other words, theres no reason to take Shield Proficiency or Light Armor Proficiency at all. If you wanted to take Light Armor Proficiency, you become proficient with Light Armor, not with any shields. You need to take Shield Proficiency in order to become proficient with them.
